Today late afternoon I set off to my home hill St. Jakob (528 m) or locally Jakec, above Podkraj near Velenje. A little below the summit the church of St. Jakob from 1583 greets us. From the church there is a nice view of the nearby surroundings, with good visibility you can also see Kum (1220 m) to the south and Koralpe/Golica to the north.
I then continued the path to the forested summit, from where there is no view due to the forest.

Description:
The well-known and nearest hiking spot for Velenje people lies on the southern edge of the Šaleška valley and has two faces. On the northern side above the Gorenje factory forested, on the southern settled and all in vineyards and orchards. At the top the church of St. Jakob from 1583 and memorial plaque to the SKOJ conference in 1939 greet us.

Access:
From Stari Velenje from the Hostages Monument, then right uphill along the northern slope (40 minutes' walk) or through Podkraj and Zabrdo along the southern side (45 minutes' walk). From home to the church I have just over 20 minutes' walk.

Today's wonderful sunny but still quite cold day was really calling into nature, so late afternoon I headed to the home hill St. Jakob (528 m). Visibility was really excellent today, as Koralpe to the north and Zasavje hills with Kum leading to the south were visible. Snow still lingers in sheltered/shady spots, so the atmosphere is still quite wintry, although spring is already opening its doors widevelik nasmehnasmeh

This afternoon I decided after a long time to visit the nearby hill which we call Jakec at home, where the chapel of St. Jakob (528 m) is located.

Some photos (photos are a bit lower quality, as they were taken with a mobile phone).
