Spare mouthpiece for Camelbak

On the hike, the mouthpiece for my water bladder - Camelbak - fell into the abyss. I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get a spare mouthpiece or at least the whole tube? I was at Iglu but they only have spares for Source water bladders. Thanks and LP, Bojan

Hi! I too have been without Camelbak mouthpieces. Got new ones where I got the bladder - in Anapurna, on Krakovski nasip, in Ljubljana. Good luck and cheers!

Thanks. I'll call there too. Hope they can send the stuff too, as just for the mouthpiece it's not worth going to LJ.

They really had it in Annapurna and sent it home to me. All super. Just very expensive: 8.9 €

Glad you managed to get it. Really expensive. But I think it's still cheaper than going to the store, as you'd surely buy something else. I often do that - for the soul. GOOD LUCK!

Camelbaks available at Promontana in Kranj, Source and Deuter at Iglu.

Source water bladders available at K2 Krakovski nasip 10. Made by Cypriot nautical company for Deuter. They open full width, where we fill with water and later easier to wash. I bought one a few days ago and saw it's not just a toy, but practical useful piece of mountaineering gear. You drink and walk, so it shows in tour time too.

I'm interested in your experiences with Camelbak quality. Mine delaminated at the bottom after about three uses (Source brand). In the middle of the hike I realized there's no more liquid in the bladder and my ass is pretty wet. Of course I can't find the receipt, so no warranty claim. I'm hesitating to buy another one because I'm afraid the same thing will happen again. LP, Miha

I had a Source for 2 years, then it started leaking at the bottom where the tube is attached (flooded the trunk). With the new real Camelbak everything is fine, except the mouthpiece flew off. Now I have the new one taped on. This Camelbak seals so well that I can observe how it shrinks and expands due to air pressure changes at different altitudes. I can't imagine mountaineering without a bladder anymore.

I use Deuter water bladder, and after two years of use no problems yet. I use it both on the bike and for hiking. You can get them at Intersport. I recommend.

Even nowadays nothing is 100 percent. Today I was at the tinsmith (rear windshield replacement - Zav. Triglav), and the master tells me that even Mercedes delivery vans, whose new owner he himself was, rust at such a purchase price. Lp

In my career I've destroyed about 4 or 5 bladders, from Hofer's, Camelback, Ked, ... Now I have a tube with a cap that you screw onto a classic bottle (0.5, 1.5 liters). We have two from some unknown company, two Source (bought at Iglu), and except that my daughter chewed one mouthpiece, no other victims yet. I just stick the bottle in the side pocket of the backpack. No regrets pouring cedevita, juice, isostar into it (the bottle), before in bladders everything was at least nasty colored, if not quickly moldy.
