We set out for the 17th Sovret's Hike. By train to Hrastnik, then steeply up the hill towards Šavna peč. In the village of Krnice, hospitable local women welcomed us, who always prepare plenty of goodies. Then we also looped to the village of Kovk, where an accordionist awaited us and again diligent hostesses. This time we climbed to Gore via another path. Short stop at the hut on the Gores and down the usual path to Šavna peč. Locals and hikers, don't forget the importance of translator Anton Sovret. We had pleasant sunny weather, even when it was already pouring in Ljubljana; at the end, a few raindrops caught us too...

Šavna peč, the birthplace of Anton Sovret, we visit sometimes when there is the traditional hike, the first Saturday in October. Sometimes on February 8th. This time, thanks to guides Marjan and Drago, on Saturday. We went from Hrastnik to Šavna peč and paid homage to our exceptional translator. Then towards Dol, first to the village of Kovk, past the Celtic burial site. Descent to Dol near Hrastnik, refreshment in the excellent inn Zasavski gurman. Food good, team excellent, all praise. We passed the climbing crag equipped by Vili Guček, where they climb with crampons and ice axes... And also a visit to the museum in Hrastnik, diverse, interesting, from mine, glassworks, puppets, school supplies...
Total 15 km, got to know new places and people. All thanks to guides Marjan, Drago and with assistance of Franc, who brought his female hikers. Even in Zasavje it's nice....
