We were with the family at Savica, and from the "hut" at the waterfall you can see a secured path that I think leads from the path over Komarča, right next to the waterfall. Didn't find anything useful on the net, would be glad for some info if the path is maintained...

Yes, really there's a path that leads above the waterfall or to the source of Savica... It's the marked path over Komarča if going to Sedmera, after about half an hour to the sign that goes left to the source, 10 min... I was there on Wednesday...

Hi Zamet, you're right, but that path isn't visible from the hut. Probably asking about the path at hut height, it leads to the power plant and ends with a grate, from it you see nothing to the waterfall, .

Yes, macek1 I mean the path equipped with cable. It's a bit lower than the hut, across the river (so downstream left). Pity I didn't take a photo.

Same as when going to Komarča there's a trail left, I don't remember if it's marked.
But can't go to end because tunnels closed.

Thanks, Bojan. Pity it's closed, it would be an interesting path, and I saw the tunnel at the end where the path goes in, but the grate isn't visible. My son "urged" me to inquire so we could go, of course with self-belaying, as the ledge looks quite narrow.

Nah, narrow, folks say it's dangerous, but when I was there it didn't seem so to me. Of course it depends on the individual. But if you've been at least once a bit higher in the mountains, no panic.

This path, or rather trail, is intended exclusively for the needs of the hydroelectric power plant and is closed for public use.

Hi,
how's parking at Savica? Website says barriers will be installed this year and payment only by cards. Is it already in place?
And how about parking at the lot by the lower gondola station?
