Thanks for the reply, I wasn't sure if it was some other 'climbing section', but I read it all. But thanks again for the long reply.

Yes, my selfie Good that it's not in color. If you were walking there on Wednesday at half past noon, we would have met.

Today I also went from Kot to Rjavina, thanks Lijaneja for posting the conditions and times. Morning at the parking cold and icy, so I was a bit worried about the climbing section - the protections were great, nothing wet or frozen. I had SVK, used it only in the chimney, where I had a really nasty feeling going down and was really glad they installed the chain a couple years ago. Weather pleasant, at the top beautiful sun and light breeze and view of the sea of fog reaching to the exit for Hrušica. It would almost be kitschy, if not for some overly loud chainsaw...

No problem, 'Kafetarca', I'm really glad I diverted someone from the classic "hot" starting points (Blato, Vrata, Vršič). Too bad you didn't continue along the sunny ridge and descend past Stanič back to Kot. Pics??

Yes, Kot is a nice starting point, but the road was in much worse condition yesterday than in August this year (first failed attempt to climb Rjavina due to absurd wind). You can see the valley had more visitors due to closures in Vrata, unfortunately. I descended over the ridge to the Dovška vratca turnoff, then over scree back to the start of the climbing section. Slid a bit on my butt too, because I didn't watch my feet enough, but nothing serious.
