Mr. Dejan Grm, I think all your comments have crossed the line of good reason... I've been going to the mountains for 25 years (all our mountains with Europe's highest mountain), and I don't need any additions on my feet to achieve something that is a success for you. Understand once that with this you're harming yourself. You had luck, which isn't given to everyone. Respect that and also the people around you. Good luck! Janez K.

Janez, you know well that we two don't have much to talk about. Vent your problems to others. It's true that you wrote it so nicely up there that someone might accidentally believe you. Good luck

Under the title "Planika - Kredarica", where I'm headed, I expected everything but a personal bickering of two hikers, who should rather write something nice about their mountain paths!

It won't go!!! Red Bull, little raspberry bull, writes about doughnuts, HoferLidl pizzas, half liter drinks . . . . and how he's the fastest, the best, the smartest .... When they were playing "fly fly" on Triglav he forgot what kind of potatoes he has between

Meh and lizika, still waiting for some of your posts about a mountain visit from which one can read something about conditions too.

Well, will there be some pics, Meh and Chupa chups? I can lend you two a camera anytime, only that's not the problem, we all know where the problem sticks and it's in you, at least we know you're kids.

I wouldn't choose this path. Simply because I'd feel very uncomfortable under the wall of Mali Triglav. You never know what might fly down. I was surprised myself at what all can be found in the snow pocket. I even noticed a large iron barrel and don't know how it ended up here.

As I understood the request: "I would use it instead if I couldn't climb from Planika to Triglav", the most appropriate answer here is definitely from Mitja and other like-minded people. They know what they're talking about.

Walked the path yesterday and nothing has changed at all from Igor's comment. But if you waited for something to fly onto your head, nobody would go from Kredarica to Triglav either.

Thank you very much for all the info, especially the last one I like the most, it's still fresh.

Has anyone walked this path recently (or at all) from Kredarica to Planika or vice versa? How is it regarding safety, exposure....? Thanks!

The upper path from Planika to Kredarica is not exposed or difficult. It's a bit scree-covered though. In August there was still one snow patch on the path that could be bypassed. I think it's gone now. The biggest danger is falling rocks from Mali Triglav, but currently, with few hikers, it's smaller.

Thanks, jbs, if I'm not mistaken, "upper" means the unmarked one, the lower is marked, or am I wrong? So is it better to go the unmarked one?

As you wrote, the upper one is right under the wall of Mali Triglav, path characteristics are as described by jbs. Where it's better to go depends on each individual. With the upper there can be some issues as mentioned by jbs. With the lower you have more elevation difference and it's about 15 minutes longer. I went the lower one in September with my son (9 years) for safety. Others walked the upper too (helmet!).

OK, thanks, simon, so we'll also rather go the lower one, safety first and better a few minutes more...
