I sent an email to Mojstrano and PD Kr.gora asking if there will be a night hike with torches to Peričnik this year too. They haven't sent a reply. Maybe one of you knows.

I don't know about that... but you can join us on Saturday, Dec 18, 2010 on the night hike Čez goro k očetu (from Črna na Koroškem to Železne Kaple).

Very gladly, but the thing is I got sick, not well yet, and it's very far. To the torch hike, if there will be one, I have closer and later, so I hope I'll be healthy by then.

First, thanks for interest in my health. I'm almost healthy now, so hope I can twirl on New Year's Eve
I believe you had a good time on the hike, pics are nice too despite night. Special experience walking by full moon, especially winter, though I don't like it much as I get cold easily. Your temp info chilled me.
I'm curious why the hike is called Čez goro k očetu?

On a similar but much tougher route from Kotelj to Celovec in harsh winter conditions on Christmas Eve 1932, Prežih's wife and daughters set out to meet husband and father after over two years. The meeting didn't happen as Prežih was arrested just before. The effort of wife and daughters who fought through snow for 14 hours was described by Lovro Kuhar - Prežihov Voranc in the short story Čez goro k očetu.
