Afternoon from Gozd Martuljek towards bivouac below Špik and further over Kotle to summit Na Pečeh. Higher up windy and also some rain drops. Over Kotle not exactly easy somewhere in Middle Kotel under scrub I studied a bit left or right,....descended in direction of approach.

Yesterday (Friday, 10 September) through krnica Pod srcem and over all three Kotle to screes by gully between Martuljek Poncas and back same path.

Apparently more rarely used hunter's trail starts few tens of meters ahead from log with PP sign on right stream side (cairn). Bit less trodden but quite traceable leads first to Lower Kotel then up eastern bank through scrub. At start of scrub gets bit lost, three passages show. Need to go left and little climb over dry scrub branches (built small cairn). Path then to rocky chute and up to Middle Kotel where partly lost again. Initially visible continues over Middle Kotel then follow cairns to area of several peaks at over 2000m. Which is really Na Pečeh not clear so circled almost all except one bypassed right on screes Upper Kotel where faint path.

Continued another 200m higher. Gully bottom to saddle between Poncas still snow but bypassable on right scree. Didn't see well upper steep crumbly gully part middle snow-covered too.

Descended back to Upper Kotel peeked in Špik graben (also much snow there unusually) and admired numerous towers from slopes of Mala Martuljska Ponca over graben.

Returned same path only few meters left on upper edge Middle Kotel quickly found right way to lower Kotel part where path better visible. From Lower Kotel down terrain 80m elevation bit damper and slippery. Not bad just shade slower descended.

Streamlet 10 min below krnica Pod Srcem cheerfully gurgles. Beside it two bottles set conveniently think 10l each. Who plans bivouac sleep fill with drinking water descent bring empty back. Bivouac drip not potable. Nicely thought out.

From total silence solitude up there walked to Gozd Martuljek mid afternoon. Friday valley traffic almost nonstop. Several motorbikes groups 20-30 one way other. 1000+ cc machines merrily rattled heard from afar.
