The road to the parking lot above Avsa village is plowed, parking lot sufficiently cleared for up to 5 cars. Since it's today right after snowfall, I expected the old path to Matajur via Mrzli vrh wouldn't be trodden. It really wasn't. Good that I had skis, otherwise I'd have turned back. Walking without "extended and widened feet" nasmeh

is impossible or only for masochists. Sinking up to ... and beyond... Even with skis I sank almost to my knees at times. So - for now without snowshoes or skis - no way.

From Avsa to Mrzli vrh above Idrska planina. In the forest and shady areas where there was snow on the path, the path was icy, at the top strong wind was blowing. Returned via Idrska planina to the start, but the descent due to wallowing in the snow, of which there is still a lot, was quite strenuous.
