Starting point for the tour is Sella Chiazutan saddle, we drove there from Tolmezzo through Verzegnis. The path is marked with number "811". Usually the tour is done uphill past Casere Montuta, descent past Casere Avrint. With the princess we tackled the tour in the opposite direction, why and how we enjoyed it, more in the blog. The path past Casere Montuta is already demanding in dry conditions, in snow I wouldn't tackle it alone even if it was trampled, without tracks I wouldn't even think about it. Past Casere Avrint yes, to the hut itself nice with snowshoes in snow, further depending on experience and conditions. The summit despite modest height is an excellent viewpoint. Nice tour, which I will definitely repeat and add some nearby peaks (Monte Piombada, Monte Piciat,...)

Thanks for the tips as they were welcome, yesterday a tour with 30 members from various CAI from the whole FJK as our leader organizes every end of December in Val d'Arzino valley and surroundings (over the years we did Piciat, Cuesta Spiolet, Monte Rossa, M. Verzegnis, M. Cuar), same starting point Chianzutan on path 811 directly to M. Bottai, then to La Forca saddle (there is a nice bivouac "Carcadè" set up as it's not marked on "Tabacco map 013" in the side forest and caretaker Sandro even cooked coffee for the whole group) and on path 827 over Stavoli Palar, Forchia Armentaria saddle to village S. Francesco, whole tour good 7 hours
