Mojstrovke, Travnik, Šite, Jalovec to Tamar and Vršič

From Vršič via Hanzova to Mala Mojstrovka, then along the ridge path to Šite. Follows descent from the top into a steep traverse full of rocks and scree; at the end, again twice stem into the wall and down to the scree slope. Across the scree and between big rocks to the marked path towards Jalovec. At the top, nothing special: some people, five-minute break, and back towards Tamar. During the descent, some fixes on the cables are visible, but the marks are still faded. In Tamar, rest with a radler, then through Grlo back to Vršič and home. Very nice tour, but surely won't repeat for some years.

Yesterday, shortened version of MANGRT's masterpiece. From Vršič over Šitna glava to MM, then traverse over Mojstrovke, Travnik, Kol, Rob V. Dnine, Šite to the last notch before the main Šite summit, then towards Dnina and via the only easy passage to the slope to the marked path J. Škrbina - path Vršič - Z. p. Špič. The ridge from Kol onwards is a completely different story than up to it - sharp, exposed, two orientationally complicated descents. On top of that, at the summit, which you bypass via the north traverse, I looked for a bypass to the south because I wrongly thought it was too early for the bypass via the north ledge. What a blunder! Of all, the descent from Šite is the most mental anyway. Despite gear in the backpack, from the Šite summit I still didn't want to descend MANGRT-style because I wanted to find that passage from Dnina. Thanks to the only little man on the whole Dnina, standing exactly where needed.

Yesterday we went from Velika Mojstrovka to Travnik. In the route description it says you can return "via easier path that runs a bit lower on south side parallel to the ridge". How to get to that path?

I searched with the search engine but didn't find it. Thanks.

On Thursday, after a couple of years with a colleague, repeat the traverse Mojstrovke to Šite summit. Fog here and there additionally complicated finding passages, and nice views to Jalovec at the end were nothing either. Maybe next time weather cooperates... The path itself from Kol onwards is much more exposed, difficulty doesn't reach II grade if optimal passages are found. But searching them is fun since not too hard if you stick to the rule not to go too low from the ridge.

Nice and scenic if no fog. Once try to extend to Lopa to do the complete ridge to Jalovec notch. But it takes an extra hour due to deep bypass.

Lopa is a bit out of my range since, as much as I read, it's quite harder.

Matjaž, I know well that you can do this!

Is Hanzova nicely passable, without snow and ice?

Even if it was until now, it's possible that some snow will fall there today.
