We start at the parking lot just before the Dom in Kamniška Bistrica. We turn into the forest above the road and to the right during ascent find a gully in the shape of an avenue. We climb along its left side among picturesque moss-covered boulders (at the steepest part there's a nice natural passage marked with a cairn). Higher the gully flattens and we go along its bottom to the head. Then ascent to the right along the slope by the gully to the foot of the rocks. Easier passage is along the fallen and overgrown slope to the left up, the right chute is very steep and hard to use for ascent. The left ascent higher turns into a steep scree chute that ends blindly in a saddle above the precipitous ridge. Some way below the chute's top we find a suitable traverse right around the buttress into the next chute (exposed). Follows an awkward short ascent right along steep natural passage to the ridge (nicely sawn log that would help most at start is wobbly and unusable). Easier option is traverse left to the ridge to the peeled spruce (good for descent). Just careful route-finding on the precipitous ridge and enjoying views to the summit with great direct view on the roof of Dom in Kamniška Bistrica
Summit with everything the big ones have, demanding pathless terrain for experienced. Enjoying silence, probably really summit with fewer visitors than Everest
P.s. on ascent count on descent harder by at least a grade, also easiest approach to this summit, other descent variants worse, very demanding. Ascent about an hour. Advise against in wet weather.

We two continued to Kamniški dedec. In between two steeper notches otherwise goes without trouble. Path joins somewhere around indistinct Črni vrh.
Point 1201 not named on any of my maps but nice view of Bela from up there. Suggest name Miheličev viewpoint.

We also continued to Kamniški dedec. Mainly wonderful pathless terrain. It took us 2:15 to K. dedec, full loop 3:20.

Yesterday I climbed Mešenik for the first time. Nice pathless, near top just steep enough to bite. Entry to ridge through left gully and below summit traverse right into next one. Somehow by terrain. Descent along right gully viewed from up. But since I had rope just in case I fixed myself. Descent is quite steep, need to be careful. Mešenik really has different and interesting views. Surely visit again

Today I went past Mešenik to Kamniški dedec. At the saddle where you go left to dedec it's quite annoying to climb over piled material, then it goes. Very nice, solitary, orientational, partly demanding. Full loop ca 3.5h

Mešenik - Kamniški dedec 21.4.2024
At 10 we park at the bus stop before the Dom in Kamniška Bistrica, and at the same spot as andi2 we slowly puff up the hill. Following towards Mešenik was not demanding, the steepness concrete!
A little zig-zag here and there, along the ledge and hop on the ridge! The world of Mešenik captivates me! The summit is really special, and I could easily sit there and sit....
From the summit we return back, and right after the saddle we meet the hardest part of the ridge to dedec, the ascent to the ridge from the saddle. Here we didn't take photos, as we were watching for good holds and steps, heart rate rose! This part is beautiful and very demanding! To dedec another harder part greets us, almost vertical descent, which we ticked off nicely with the help of trees and roots! Steep and relatively strenuous all the way to Kamniški dedec!
Weather was varied! Cold, warm, windy... at dedec the first snowflakes caress us. A proper snow shower accompanies us all the way to the marked path to Kamniško sedlo. The path to dedec is still partly snowy.
Nice trip, full of wild beauties that the world above Kamniška Bistrica offers to see, touch, and smell!

Nice that you did it maybe first notch easier to bypass left a bit down and back, because right side quite nasty. If I remember correctly from years ago of course. Maybe really sometime up from Bela, as pp says in next topic. Too many ideas and too little time cheers

andi2, time is measured as it is, but still in that measure we manage to squeeze in quite a bit. Some idea needs to nurse longer in the net of wishes, so there's always something in stock. Better to have them in abundance than lack.

With time it's as it is! Let ideas, dreams, wishes and hopes stay, and if at least some realize, that's a lot! If not, at least dreams remain, and dreams surely enrich man! What would the world be without dreams?
There out of the notch, as you wrote Andrej, left down and back up easier than straight or right, still hard! On the right, as we went, exposure max.
That palček variant of course smolders in me...how not? Yesterday not day for exploring south slopes, as time limited (again) ...here I am (again) at time...funny thing!  Time is, but isn't!

Nicely written, I agree. Last three trips I scoured Kopitnik and surroundings long and wide, and laughed how each time new idea for another go... and such small space of Slovenia. Well, for a month local expert From Bela some parts are quite harder, though Volk describes it easy in his way. Mešenik is a real fortress. Safe, maybe meet somewhere...

Congratulations, especially for the direct traverse. I managed it only once, now I can't do it any other way than descend quite a bit.
Further along the ridge, visiting Špegarca is also interesting. Just before the path turns left under Dedec, we descend slightly along the side arm to the right. There are traces of predecessors, occasionally a cairn is found.
From Bela to Mešenik, the transition from the gully head to the hollow also seems harder to me, the rest somehow goes. The steepness is substantial here too, I swap poles for ice axe, but I do that on the normal approach too.
