I haven't been in the western Julian Alps for a long time, so I was even more delighted by Drago's invitation. Finally no need to lug winter gear anymore, so I strap on my small new backpack.
From Jezerska dolina we start a bit before seven and along the bed of Bela potok we reach the nice Brunner hunter's hut 1432 in a flash. Obviously hail pounded there a day ago too, as the path was especially in the upper part strewn with fresh leaves, it even smelled good. We ran into heaps of hail higher up too, it'll melt for at least another day. Above the hut another 5min walk through forest, then the terrain opens and we already spot our two targets for today. Already before the fork of paths 625/630 we catch up with Drago's acquaintance with his pal, whom he hasn't seen for ages, so I dash towards bivak Gorica to wait for him there, thinking the turnoff to Lojtrica is only up there. When I glance over its wall, I realize my mistake, because there's no gully up here... velik nasmeh

In five minutes I'm at the right spot. We stow the poles and don helmets, and advance up the nice gully towards the top. Higher there's some cairns and since Drago has a good nose, we reach the summit ridge without trouble. The biggest treat is the very last pitch with excellent holds, otherwise difficulty would exceed four. eek

In ideal weather on top we snap the whole surroundings and soon descend, as there's extremely little space up there.
We drop deep to the junction (1600m) because any shortcuts wouldn't make sense. There we switch to path no. 630, which gets steeper and steeper, last third below the saddle runs over nice smooth slabs. From here to Rogljič summit another 60m, lower part pretty awkward scrambling, holds better below summit. On top with super visibility, no wind and no urging we enjoy almost a full hour. Except for those mentioned at start we met no living soul, refreshment with cold water already before the hut was real balm, as descent from Rogljič was already quite hot.
Next refreshment was at Dani's with excellent cream slice nasmeh
