Logar Valley/Zabrložnica/Okrešelj/Pasje sedlo/Logar Valley
Long title, just like the loop we did today. Initially we planned to visit Brana via the eastern ridge (Šija Brane). When we arrive in Logarska in the morning, all peaks are in clouds. Already on the way to the parking lot under the waterfall, we're forging backup variants. The proposal prevails to climb towards Zabrložnica. Followed by ascent to all three peaks dominating Zabrložnica and continuation towards Okrešelj.
After enjoying the views from the summits, we descend towards Okrešelj. Already from the top we noticed the crowd at Okrešelj (20th anniversary of the accident). At the hut we stop for a moment and continue towards Pasje sedlo. We manage to find secret paths through the forest, scree and soon we're enjoying the view from the saddle. We rest a bit, refresh and climb to the rocky summit. Followed by a laborious crossing of the scree and steep descent. Logar Valley is still far below us. The crossing is quite demanding and I can hardly wait to feel something more compact under my feet. After seven hours we're back at the starting point in Logar Valley.
The weather served us well. No excessive heat. Some raindrops on the way, which were more of a refreshment than a nuisance. Nice circular tour!
regards

While wandering along the Krofička ridge, we agreed on another short tour. This is Zabrložnica, Turni, Okrešelj, Pasje sedlo ridge and then return to start - Logarski kot.
Path to Zabrložnica quite well cleared, still some tricky spots that will probably stay like that.
Water springs so minimal, probably even lower waterfall "not working"?:
We had some trouble approaching highest Turni peak (scree damaged by storms too). Finally crawl to highest point of Turni. Enjoy snack and 360° panorama. Deep below voices of Okrešelj visitors.
Continue traverse to Okrešelj, lower we go livelier it gets. Columns heading to hut. Benches, tables full, such bustle we hurry on. Above Brana getting slightly dark, hiker columns rush to Kamniško sedlo.
We on rocky ridge traverse below Pasje sedlo. Cross ridge, eroded gullies and on path to Logarski kot. In cirque still quite firm, eroded snow. Chamois cross snow tongues ahead, head to safe rocks. Except chamois, met no one on our path.
Gostišče Logarski kot now close, already thinking about order...cool

Hi, definitely a good tour to stretch the legs and loosen the joints. We can also meet some reptile on this path, when we are not too loud and do not crash too much. Otherwise, I personally turn left immediately from Pasje sedlo towards the bushes, down and even lower into the sparse birch forest, so away from the walls below Kamn. sedlo. The path is extremely pleasant, just here and there a bit gravelly. In short, I stick to the old shepherd's path into the valley and arrive at the road at the big bend, right by the dry streambed. Hunters occasionally use this trail, as does the wildlife.
Maybe a bit helpful.
But it's a super tour in the opposite direction: from the valley to Pasje sedlo and then over scree directly to Kotliče and along the marked trail to Turska gora. From it to Pode and then right down into Turski žleb, of course over scree to Okrešelj. After a short wet break, then above the waterfall into the valley. For me an excellent, fairly demanding tour that rests the soul and occupies the legs and arms. Good luck!

I see you've dug into the historynasmeh
In the post Sleeping Mountaineer (attached below) I was looking for the optimal descent if you have the car at the parking lot under the waterfall. So you don't descend towards Logarski kot. I'm already quite close, just need to "polish the details" a bit more. Zoki and I (10.8.2019) were already very close and that's the descent along the ridge past the caves. Just need to repeat it once more to "dot the i"cool

Yesterday in the hot summer day I set off on a loop around Logar Valley without markers. A little after half past six I started in Logar Valley and soon a path led me to a brand new forest clearing. Unpleasant surprise, luckily the clearing ends soon and hopefully it stays that way. The already walked path to Zabrložnica passed quickly, the double window is still there and by the stream I could quench my thirst as temperatures rose quickly. At the saddle above Zabrložnica I take a short break and decide to try to find the path to the Turni peaks. A faint trail is visible, then I had to fight a bit with the bushes, hold my breath on the steep ascent to the last Turn and I was up. Wow! What a magnificent view! I'll come back!
The descent was even a bit more exciting but I'm not a newbie on such terrain. I started ascending towards the Window and a bit below the last ridge from which you then descend to the Window, I met a lady and gentleman who were already returning from the Window. They were the only people I met on the way all day, except of course at Okrešelj. I've been to the Window before and even now on the last part of the path I wandered a bit here and there before reaching it. The breeze through the window was very welcome on that really hot day, after a snack I started descending back to the saddle. On the way I saw two figures on the Turni, so I inspired the previous conversation partners to visit the Turni.
The path towards Okrešelj is already quite faint and overgrown, but since it goes in a logical direction it's easy to follow and so around noon I find myself at Okrešelj, where despite the nice day there weren't many people. I treat myself to a coffee and head along the path towards Kamnik Saddle. The sun was scorching like in an oven but I'm used to it. When the path starts steeply ascending towards the climbing section, snowfields begin, but they were quite scraped off, so no panic. When I reached the upper edge of the bushy belt I turned towards the clearly visible Pasje sedlo, crossed another scraped snowfield and already I was enjoying the view from Pasje sedlo, it's really nice there!
The descent towards the clearly visible Logar Valley is more of a masochistic variant, long rough scree and hot sun, the path is almost invisible, but no matter. But under Planjava walls there are really beautiful views of Rinka waterfall, which murmurs in the distance all the time.
At the mountain hut in about an hour and a half and at the car I meet again the gentleman and lady from below Matko's Window. They say they saw a beautiful lady's slipper blooming along the path at the turning point, but later when I drove there I couldn't find it. Next time, the day was great even without it!

From the saddle down, when you reach the scree you see overgrown cirque on the left. There you then hit the hunter's paths. Left of the clear-cut.

When descending from the top of Brana, something was missing.cool
Today columns of visitors wound up to Kamnik Saddle and to the top of Brana. I couldn't help but spice up the end of today's route my way. As soon as I leave the marked path I branch right towards Pasje sedlo. I find the chamois path and soon I'm at the saddle that overhangs the other side of Logar. I haven't roamed here for a while and don't know what's waiting for me?
First I manage to find a cut path in the scree and without issues I'm in the endless scree fields. I disturb the balance on the scree, pebbles flow like a stream beside me. In between I visit a prominent cave and descend into the cirque. On a large boulder after six hours I treat myself to a modest snack and short rest. Follows a steep forest descent that shows me a new hunter's path. The watch shows another 230 m to the parked car at the parking lot under Rinka waterfall, which is bursting at the seams.

2.7.2025 Brana, Pasje sedlo
A year will pass since last year's descent over Pasje sedlo. In the meantime, a lot has changed in these parts. Storm floods have caused huge damage. Everywhere there's deposited gravel, deep gullies dug by raging waters, and I could list more. Everything has changed.
The purpose of this post is not to describe the path to Brana, but to warn about the condition below the SE wall of Planjava. The approach from the marked path to Kamniško sedlo to Pasje sedlo is still somewhat tolerable. In between you cross two newly dug gullies made by storm water. If you know the passages, you can somehow crawl to the other side past the stražar. From here the Calvary begins. The passage through the scree I cleared today and it follows nicely. Then the surprises follow one after another. Deep, wide, several-meter gullies through which you can barely push. No trace of the former "path". At times you can still follow from the hollow. Most of the way you have to orient yourself alone in this shattered world and if you haven't walked it and don't know it, better not tackle it. I searched quite a bit for the hunting path and it's also hard to follow. The bridge that crossed the Savinja bed under the parking lot is gone, yeah but that's the smallest problem on the whole path.
