All three peaks aren't combined in one thread yet, but if the admin thinks it's unnecessary, please move it. ---------- Start 6.30 at Savica and no one anywhere. The path to Lanževica past Bogatinsko sedlo is passable without winter gear. A couple of snow patches don't pose problems. At the top at 9.45 and stay until 10.00, at 11.00 I'm on Bogatin. To Bogatin I went from the saddle a bit my own way, then along the ridge, because there's a snow patch in the middle. I had my ice axe ready, but I just lightly touched the ground with it. So, the path is passable without winter gear, a bit of caution below the summit, and it's fine. Only here I spot the first people - a group of hikers climbing to Bogatinsko sedlo. I continue towards Mahavšček, before the summit I experiment a bit with tea and snow. I ran out of water, the path was still long, so I put snow in the tea to at least increase the quantity a bit . On Mahavšček at 11.30. Around 12.00 I descended towards Komna via pl. Govnjač and that's when the real trouble started . On the way from Mahavšček to the pasture, it alternates dry path - snowy path, need to cross a couple of snow patches without safe runout and ice axe is needed. I had crampons too, but descended only with ice axe. But that was ok. Above pl. Govnjač there's one path to the pasture right (shortcut) and one left (all around). And of course I miss the shortcut and crawl along that all-around path. It's marked but not maintained and I was already completely covered in dust here, and the ice axe kept getting stuck in the brush nonstop. I was dreaming of water and coke from Mahavšček onwards. Well, anyway I somehow get out of that overgrown path onto the pasture and I remember from the last trip with Bogatin and Mahavšček, when we hiked with my colleague, that from the pasture to Komna it's about 30 minutes. Motivation naturally rises, of course while thinking about the detour (I told myself, I have to think about something else, not just water, because I was already thirsty as ...) I miss the direct turnoff to Komna and go nicely towards Vogel. And I walk and walk and after about 15 minutes I see the path doesn't turn (as much as you can see out of that brush, when you see only green in front of you anyway, and sky up ). Never mind, on the map I see the next turnoff is in a bit, the path to the turnoff overgrown with brush, and I was already doubly dusty, and now I have resin on my pants too. Well, at the turnoff I meet two ladies as if arranged, who went a bit around and were also returning to Komna. But what do I see written on the sign - Komna 3/4 hour. Well, that path then real jungle and whoever knows me knows that in the mountains I hate most having to push through some jungles. Brush doesn't get on my nerves that much, as much as plants constantly touching me or me them. Please, don't anyone get mad at this again, I like fast, decisive walking on a cleared path, not that crawling and climbing under and over vegetation - I really don't like that. Importantly, it wasn't 3/4 hour, but I was at the bar at 14.00 with water and Coca-Cola, because otherwise in summer I don't stop at huts. We chatted a bit more with the ladies, and I was at the car at 15.25. Those two involuntary detours took me surely 45 min to 1 hour. Well, we keep learning something all the time. Nice trip, repeat the circular path with ice axe and paying attention to all turnoffs that I didn't , Lanževica extends the path by on average 2 hours.
