For several years in a row we've been going to Ukanc for New Year's.
Second year in a row there won't be any skiing, so we'll spend 4 days in the mountains.
We've already looked at Viševnik, do you maybe have some idea where nearby to ski?
Triglav Lakes past Savica are probably quite demanding regarding conditions?

Lots of options, but it depends what kind of ascents you want. For starters, check some map...
Easier variants:
Rodica
Komna (Vratca-Lanževica)
Vogar (Planina pri Jezeru)
Uskovnica
Rudnica
etc. (like e.g. peaks above Soriska planina)
For higher variants like Rodica, Lanževica etc., probably no need to write separately that winter gear is needed.

From the question I conclude you're not exactly experienced hikers (apologies if wrong). I suggest Vogar, Studor, Rudnica, Planina pri Jezeru, Zajamniki, Voje... It's winter in the hills, even if the valley doesn't look like it, and as the predecessor mentioned, winter gear and certain knowledge are mandatory. Nice greetings and good luck.

Bohinjska Bistrica-Polje-Stara Fužina-Voje valley-Mostnica waterfall-Ribčev Laz-Sveti Duh-Stara Fužina-Brod-Bohinjska Bistrica (cycling)
For Bohinj and the lake so many "topics" are already open that it would almost be tragic to open another one. So I'll insert this cycling trip right here; perhaps it will be useful to someone. I parked at P under Kobla, where there is no parking fee, and rode through Bohinjska Bistrica past Zois's manor above the village. There a signpost directed me onto the gravel road toward Stara Fužina; I cycled along it to the village of Polje, where I crossed the Sava on a wooden pedestrian/cycling bridge. Up to that point, a frightening encounter with a dog—two actually—with a happy end. The continuation to Stara Fužina was enjoyable on the cycling path separated from the main road. There I turned uphill toward Vogar/Blato/Voje, easily managed the climb to the junction; further on there was nothing worse, no excessively steep parts; casually I was at Voje. Short rest and then on gravel to the hut below Mostnica waterfall and even a bit higher on the bike, then pushing it to below the waterfall. Rest, viewing the waterfall, some photos, and I was already speeding into the valley. Before that I also pushed the bike a little bit downhill. Casually back in Stara Fužina, to Ribčev Laz not far, onward to the Pod Voglom hostel and the nearby Sveti Duh church, likewise not far. There I finally got rid of the almost impenetrable crowds of people and vehicles (a bit exaggerating, I admit) and found a corner of the solitude I love so much. Snacked a bit, swam even more, then continued back to Bistrica. To Polje on the same path, onward to Bistrica past Savica and through Brod. On the road to Voje and further under the waterfall, some close encounters with cars, even where traffic is prohibited. Several times I almost knocked off a side mirror with my elbow; more than once at the last moment I took my foot off the pedal and jumped to the roadside so I wouldn't meet sheet metal (also regarding this a bit exaggerating, I admit, but not much). Bottom line, the day was extremely pleasant, so it might happen that I won't wait a good ten years for the next visit, as has passed from the previous one to today

Bohinj jewel in January, circular... Not much snow in Ribčev Laz. Towards Ukanc more and more. Path to old fish farm alternates smoothed snow-bare ground. From gully onward, under Govic waterfall nice snow-covered trail. In Ukanc nice views, sun peeked over Rjava skala. Nice wandering, no ascending.

saram thanks, I'm glad if I brighten someone's day. Age doesn't spare, I still have plenty of will, though the batteries are slowly running out..
