Krofička Ridge

Penzion Na razpotju - Klemenča Cave – Škrbina - Krofička - Travnik – Ute - Movznik – Klemenča Cave
The wish to discover the entire mysterious Krofička came true today. From Škrbina to Movznik it is very demanding pathless terrain where the path gets lost several times. Several times you have to scramble on exposed spots. The route is orientationally demanding and you can easily stray into more difficult terrain. Some fixed ropes from the entry at Škrbina are damaged. The path is overgrown with dwarf pines in places, so sometimes you have to "swim" in the pines - long pants recommended. The path is described in the guide: Kamniško Savinjske Alpe (Andrej Stritar), p.40.
Experienced a dwarf pine attack. Hut at Klemenča Cave closed today, so it was wonderful to sunbathe in silence to the song of the spring with a view on Krofička and Ojstrica nasmeh Lpp, Medo

Nothing shows they finished for this year, everything was still there: tools, backpack in hut, tent, quite fresh sawdust... as if they had just gone for a snack. Cheers

Yes, I didn't notice any pear crates either, but they already know why it needs to be well hidden nasmeh
Judging by the photos from your route I see that you went around the start of Travnik ridge from your direction on the Logarska side as described in the guidebook, but from my direction a faint path on the Roban side just "showed up". Wish you many more nice pathless experiences and safe steps!

I used Sunday's warm day to visit Strelovec and along the ridge Ute - Krofička, the path without special features.

Three musketeers were supposed to finally go on a joint trip after a year of arrangements, which 'fell through' due to work obligations of one. So two set off - ups, actually only one, the other was a musketeeress. Past Klemenča Cave towards Škrbina and on to Krofička, Travnik, Ute and Strelovec. In between there were also minor skirmishes with dwarf pines, no other special features, except meeting a crawling 'local'.

Seven Snow Whites...in search of, at least one, dwarf...no luck this timevelik nasmeh

The idea was, registrations from two grew to magical seven and we already started the morning...chatter, chatter, chatter, so yes, the path to Klemenča Cave and on to "Škrbina" passed quickly (very quicklymežikanje) and the only "dwarfs" who dared to go past preferred to flee to Ojstrica wallsjezik, hehe. On the clearing under the rock passage, snack, where we also equip helmets, I go on "recon" of the cables condition, which are ok despite pulled pitons (I think two or three) and already peek into fairy-tale Robanov corner. Yes, that edge is quite vertiginousnasmeh, the valley still one of the most-fairy-tale. Path to summit in "search" for us of best passages, nicest flowers and of course views and where the last gully before entry to Krofička summit is quite nasty for me, just loaded with loose scree, exit far into Roban, provided extra "sweating"eek
Of course, if seven "grannies" reach the top, it's some kind of occupation, hehe and yes, we dominated the top for a while, then left the view pleasures, about which no words are to be wasted, to the group that came via normal path to the top. Well, here the traverse started and when I looked at the ridge from the top, man, I wasn't quite sure along which airy line we'd stepzmedenmežikanje, but right at the start it turned out to be pure poetry of scrambling, of course with veeery much caution and help of dwarf pines that save from many jamsnasmeh. Next summit was Travnik, but since no stamp anywherevelik nasmeh, I renamed it to "Summit of Seven Snow Whites", so next time we'll bring a summit book, hehe. Continued to Ute summit, then a bit back and descent into, for me, incredible cirque, as you step into completely different world and then I think first time that day and last, heard silence and felt our excitement and yes, bivouac really stands in idyllic spot and gazes at Križevnik walls. Man, we just couldn't leave, but time rules the mountain, so last time (there were quite a few of those lasts that day, rightjeziknasmeh) we rush into the steep, where demanding traverse and ascent up Vratni gully awaits, where we exit to Movnik saddle, scented and reserved only for sheep, so quickly down to marked path and in gallopvelik nasmeh for "lemonade", which to our surprise we get despite already closed hut at Klemenča Cavenasmeh...Only descent to planinci home awaited and our odyssey that lasted as planned 12h, or we caught it by a minute, ended full of impressions and photos for a couple feature films, velik nasmehhehee
Well, super...definitely one of my nicer, if not the nicest traverses, views accompany all the time, when tired of Logarska view, peek into Robannasmeh, in the palm of your hand the whole KSA. The cirque and bivouac under Utas impressed me most, where I'll surely return and yes, really excited about another exceptional ridge.

Most praise of course to the six Snow Whites, for company +10, not speaking of laughter, as instead of legs today abs hurt, especially J. who invested huge effort and energy so it turned out more than perfect and that after last ascent still at least one followed, hehehhe...

and for the end...
when I look at you mountains, trouble passes quickly, when I step to mountain top, heart is overjoyed...
(thought borrowed from summit book under Utas, hope no hard feelings from owner...J.V.R.)

I know the story of Snow White and the seven dwarfsnasmeh
Now I'm reading the story: Seven Snow Whites but no dwarfnasmeh
With such chatter, chatter, it's almost a miracle that you veered left and weren't pulled along Kopinškova further into the Ojstrica wall after those "dwarfs".
But Snow Whites still have quite a few hidden passages, paths, that lady Grofička/Krofička carefully hides from such large female company. She generously reveals them to small "dwarfs" who happily roam them...cool
Do you know the story of the name Krofička/Grofička?
Robanov Joža tells you that. And you'll discover much more interesting things if you read carefully....velik nasmeh

hahahaaa, "geppo", now it's modern timesvelik nasmeh, and I don't even know where we'd find 7 brave dwarfs, these Snow Whites aren't just any, you know, hahaaajeziknasmeh

yes, but I've already seen the next little path, I just need to get there from the valley and it's really full of still unknown cornersnasmeh, see how nice you "dwarfs" have itjezik, when "Grofička" welcomes you with open armsjezikmežikanje

otherwise thanks for the description, we were already wondering on the path where the name comes from...
btw, do you have a better copy?
