On Saturday, 01.08.2009 I'm going from Kot via High Vrbanova Peak and Cmir to Stanic Hut. At half past six I'll be with blue Peugeot 206 with Kranj registration at the last parking lot for Kot. I'll be happy for any company. Mountaineering greeting - tireless mountaineer!

Sorry, because I misled a bit, because from Kot you go only to Vrbanova špica and then to so-called Vrbanov vrh - at least that's written on the stamp which you get in Staničeva koča. To Cmir leads an independent path from Staničev dom. In the hut you can buy so-called Staničevo transferzalo - cardboard in which we collect stamps Rjavina, Begunski vrh, Cmir, Vrbanova špica, Vrbanov vrh and Staničev dom. For reward you get gaiters. Praiseworthy - nice promotion of Staničev dom!

Note! Sorry. Pictures are not from this trip, but from previous trip along peaks on the right side of Triglav Valley, if looking towards Prehodavci. Started from Planina Blato, along peaks from Mala Tičarica to Velika Zelnarica and then to saddle under Zelnarica towards Planina Dedno Polje.

I really went that day on this trip at the announced time. Unfortunately no company. With one hiker from Revirje we walked together about three quarters of the way to junction for Spodnja Vrbanova špica, then he pulled ahead of me. He went then to Rjavina. I notice that there are quite a few solo hikers. On the summit a hiker from Kamnik caught up with me again and we didn't walk together to Stanic Hut for long. Because there is lots of interest for this trip I'm posting some pictures from the trip.

Velkavrh, probably quite a few of us walk alone because maybe seeking some peace in mountains, and also, at least there, don't like arguing with someone about pace, where next and similar. Sometimes, at least for me, really nice to be alone, in complete silence and peace, leaning on some rock, maybe at top of some gully. True that this is not forum for such things, better exchange thoughts about what we got and share it with others, at least in pictures and descriptions.

Van, you correctly guessed. The upper pictures were taken on return via Kot. Attaching also pictures from top of Vrbana Peaks a bit around.

Yesterday I decided after a long time - after twenty-seven years - to repeat the traverse of Vrbana Peaks. The choice was right. Beautifully marked and excellently equipped ridge path with wonderful views and peace enthused me again. After descent from High Vrbana Peak I climbed to Begunjski Peak, where the afternoon southwest wind brought thick clouds that unfortunately covered father Triglav. The path to Cmir also offered itself and I had no regrets. Only during descent to Kot did I catch up with groups returning from Stanic Hut and Triglav. Nice trip on less visited paths!
