On Monday I headed to Kopica from Planina Blato. Everything is already abandoned, Bohinj folks no longer collect tolls, Dedno polje is empty, some activity still at Triglav Lakes hut but already showing last phase of this year's season. I hurry to Štapc past Tičarice to Kopica, on the way back I get lost in wild pathless terrain where I meet true ruler of Fužinske gore who introduces his herd to me. Hi mountaineers.
Has anyone been around here lately? I'd go via Štapce to Kopica and Zelnarica, then directly down to Koča pri Sedmerih jezerih. Any info welcome.

Path over Štapce is dry, the same to Tičarica, to Zelnarica still some snow patches but not bothersome. Path below Vršaki is snowy. Snow is frozen. Recommend winter gear.

Yesterday was on Mali Tičarica and Kopica nasmeh

. If only time allowed (today of course regret not persisting and going further zadrega

), would have gone to Mala and Velika Zelnarica too. Only now on forum noticed where the unmarked path to Velika Tičarica goes. I did see it, but thought it was just trodden by chamois and ibex eek

. Boy was I wrong. Too bad, really mrk pogled

Anyway, really wonderful weather, some would say kitschy. Quite warm nasmeh

, even for short sleeves, on Tičarica completely windless, on Kopica a little breeze. Haha, how the cracking of Dvojno jezero sounded nasmeh

. Unbelievable. Thought I heard talking, but it was cracking. In morning met and saw no living soul, then around noon some visitors on nearby peaks (all Vogels and Debeli vrh), on way back met a gentleman who was being led by the hand to Planina pri Jezeru, where he'd overnight and today continue to Koča na Sedmerih jezerih. Then at parking met two older hikers who were on Tičarice and Koča pri sedmerih jezerih.
Well, totally thrilled with my solo conquered 2000ers, especially at this time when I didn't think I'd go so high nasmeh

the plan was also to Velika Tičarica, obligatory of course also to Kopica, after it Zelnarica

And the stamp too. The summit logbook has been full for some time.

Today to Kopica via Štapc, past Tičarice, return via valley Za Kopico. Nice weather, afternoon return got us soaked to the skin. Summit worth a visit nasmeh

Today Planina Blato, Dedno polje, Ovčarija, then over Prode to Hut at Seven Lakes, on past Tičarice to Kopica, then to Zelnarica and down valley behind Kopica back to start.
Weather gorgeous, trail OK and lots of hikers; at 6am parking at Planina Blato already full, so we »latecomers« parked on road to junction for Planina Vogar. On departure cars parked even lower than that junction...
Now a question: which peak is Mala Zelnarica and which Velika? In the trail description to Mala Zelnarica on this forum height of M.Z. 2310m given, but attached map shows M.Z. at 2215m zmeden

Which summit is this? Compared to Kopica it could be 2215 m high, and the position on the map fits M.Z.

Velika Zelnarica?! The stamp says VZ, so what is MZ?

There is also one black sheep among them...

What is correct - map or route description?

All that is OK, those are facts. My "description" is fact too. Still no answer which is actually Mala Zelnarica.

towards the east, you'd see the middle Vogel.

No, picture 11 shows how I looked at VZ if MZ is 2215. But if VZ is the one above pass Vrata, from the one stamped VZ I looked horizontally at it. That's what bothers me - per Tinky's map it looks like that's the peak at Vrata VZ - but lower than MZ. And in the trail description on this forum, summit book (box) at Mala Zelnarica, nothing on big one. So zmeden

@Sorok, in Mihelič's Bohinj Mountains guidebook it says that Mala Zelnarica is higher than Velika Zelnarica.
On Mala Zelnarica there's also a stamp box and stamp, which is a bit confusing. It says Velika Zelnarica on it, even though you're standing on Mala Zelnarica, and on Velika Zelnarica there's nothing, as you found out yourself.

! So that's it. Madonna, these cartographers are really messing around - it was already on the forum once in the past, when the location of Molička planina was in question - one map one way, another differently...

First time on Kopica. Wonderful day, ideal weather, path without special features, except that on a hot summer day it's quite long, views fantastic.

We went from Blato, via Dedno polje and Ovčarija. A bit above the junction for Štapce I met a small viper - in the shade and it wasn't warm yet.

Up to the junction for Mala Tičarica lots of hikers, further on we met only three on the way back, otherwise alone. Well, we saw them below, at the kidney lake and in the valley Za Kopico, and also on Velika Zelnarica.

First gentians a bit above Štapce, then from Velika Tičarica onwards full of them. Other flowers at peak too - gentians, fragrant carnations... and a bit below the summit saw Triglav rose for the first time.

When you spot Kopica, it impresses you. It's very mighty. The path to the summit is nicely laid out. It says pathless, but it's well trodden. Also plenty of fresh sheep tracks.

On the summit - wonderful. We stayed quite a while admiring. Peaks and valleys.

One curiosity - from Dedno polje pasture you can see only one mountain. And that's Kopica. nasmeh
