Jerebičje-Matkov Grintovec-Matkova kopa-Krnička gora-Mrzla gora-Matkov škaf

Yesterday morning my friend and I parked at the Perk farm in Matkov kot. A bit below Lesnikovo sedlo a nice roe deer barked at us and let us know we were on his turf. From the saddle we continued along the upper path to Jerebičje. This path is panoramically especially beautiful as it runs along the ridge all the time, so you soak up the wonderful view with your eyes and soul. From Jerebičje we went down to Matkovo sedlo and on across Matkov Grintovec towards the entry gully to Matkova kopa. While traversing below Matkova kopa we spotted a herd of chamois at the game salt lick. The upper part of the path to Kopa we did directly along the ridge. At the top there were two chamois that with a dizzying drop to the Austrian side showed the incredible abilities of these wonderful animals. Further towards Krničko sedlo we stuck to the ridge path as much as there is. It runs alternately on our and Austrian side. David already before the saddle decided for descent into Matkova krnica and then up the scree to the entry into the climbing part of the path to Krnička gora. I continued along the ridge and from the saddle upwards right below the ridge on our side. There while walking a nice viper surprised me and with a few hisses let me know not to mess with it. A bit higher I had to, as many times on the path, fight with the brush again, which can be quite fun. While climbing to Krnička gora we enjoyed it a lot, even more on its summit. We just couldn't believe it, despite all the adventures on the path, that it wasn't even late yet. Since we still had enough time and energy, we climbed up to Mrzla gora too. Climbing it was pure pleasure. The lower part we climbed through the gully left of the ridge and a bit higher continued along the ridge to the top. After a longer stop on its summit we decided for descent to Matkov škaf and then up the road to Perk. The path to Škaf is full of scree in the lower half and requires great concentration when walking. In the lower part right on the tricky section a bolt on the cable is pulled out. Although the weather didn't allow nice shots, it gave an even stronger sense of remoteness of these paths. Forgive us our squealing, but we couldn't help it, as this was one of our best mountain paths.

Today with a forum colleague (kitta) we circled one part of Matko's kingdom.
Despite a not too promising morning, the sun showed above Jevševec and brightened our views of golden larches.
To Matkova kopa we climbed along the ridge and continued to Krnička gora. From there towards Latvice, past the non-existent Škaf, and already before the hunting hut up to the middle path and along it to Matko, where the car was waiting.

Still suitable for descent if someone needs it there. That's why I left it.
