I've had this hike in my head for a while, which I did today. Actually since spring, when a friend from Italy sent me photos when he was up there by bike but from the other side (Resia). I drive into Rekla Valley to the hamlet Pezzeit, where at the end of the road on a small parking lot I leave the car. Right on the other side starts path no. 633 for the direction Sella Buia, which lies at 1655m altitude. At first the path goes across meadow, then into forest. The path ascends nicely evenly to the first stream crossing then turns into more demanding steep terrain. From here the path starts climbing steeply and at some spots it's quite exposed so you have to be quite careful, for assistance there are chains on sections. In between there are also two nice waterfalls. The path here is very steep and holds to the top. More than half the path goes through forest. From the village to the saddle - Hut we climb a good 1150m and that in just over 6 km. At the Igor Crasso Hut it's insanely beautiful, incredible views of Carnic Alps, Dolomites and of course our Julians. From here leads an extremely nice mule track to below the Žrda peak, which we have very close. The hut itself I can say is almost luxury. Extremely nicely arranged, large with stove and fireplace and outdoor terrace. The hut really stands in an exceptional position. Back to the valley I return by the same path. Path 633 itself is in good condition.

Thanks dm72 for the post, so I connected his info on access from the Rezjanske side and the photo of the signpost at the October Alpinov meeting in Ledina.
Today was the right day to visit. Pleasant path first on road, then on mule track. Sun was shining, no wind. Path almost dry and passable without crampons. In the hut no one has been for a whole month.

Yesterday we did a beautiful loop above the Resia valley, this is a loop for which you have to put in some effort to find info or stumble upon it by chance to get the idea. First time I read about this path that really captivated me was on GITE's blog. Then just recently I came across pictures from this path among Friulian mountain lovers, and the thought wouldn't leave me. Jože anyway wanted to revisit Resia and so we quickly combined both good ideasnasmeh.

We parked in Solbica and headed via the village Ladina on path 643, which also forms part of the High Rosojanska path. At the shelter we also went to both adjacent peaks for even more wonderful views. On the return we continued to the top of Picco Peloso, then at the junction took path 632 and descended past the signs for Pusti Gost to the path in Rio Lommig, as we admired the waterfalls and potholes that the gorge creates on its way. So we returned to Solbica on a different path and even in the village itself marveled at the creations we noticed along the way. In the end a lady addressed us in Slovenian and invited us to the museum, but somehow we didn't have more time, though of course grateful for the invitation.

Our path was mostly circular, about 1100m elevation gain and around 12 km walked, about three hours foreseen for the ascent itself, drive from our end about 140 km. The path made such a strong impression on us that we definitely plan to return! The rest from the picturesnasmeh.
Here in Resia we always stop, the views here are really nice1

Quite possible that you met Mrs. Luigia Negro, the soul and heart of Slovenians in Resia. Two years ago, also in Solbica, I stumbled upon her by chance. Luckily I had enough time to visit the museum - worth it. And she opened it just for me, really exceptionally friendly lady.

Christmas is just the right time for fairy tales, so today I treated myself to another one, namely in this rosy valley. Paradise on earth, not just here. I climbed to the Crasso shelter and along the way checked if the little beasts are already on well-deserved winter vacation. Seems so, didn't meet any. That I'll ever cross paths with Dardaj I no longer dare hope, and Löla Kotlič anyway only the oldest valley resident remembers, if at all. I stepped into snow at the Tuursi building, trodden to the CAI 643/632 junction, further waded more or less deep. Weather conditions excellent, wind only here and there, no frost, even less crowds on the path. So solitary that I almost got scared of my own shadow when I stepped out of the forest onto the open. Crampons and gaiters welcome, I only wore the latter. I'll take part in such and similar trips again, at the end of the day one is almost completely cleansed of all beauty nasmeh
