From the parking lot at Vrhprag pass we drove along the mountain road with switchbacks to the parking lot-starting point for Sveto Brdo at Libinjska kosa. The road is quite demanding. You can't get up there any other way than with a 4x4. Now a long path awaited us across vast pastures, little hills-up and down to the prominent peak Sveto Brdo, where there's a large cross. Then also descent to the end of Velika Paklenica, where there are three private guesthouses and a mountain hut. We chose guesthouse Ramić dvori, where they kindly served us dinner and offered lodging. They say it's more comfortable and friendlier than in the mountain hut. We walked surely seven hours.

27.5.2023 Sv. Brdo
Before Sv. Rok we look for the turn-off to Maistorska road across Velebit. The road is gravel and quite bad at the beginning. Otherwise there are no characteristic bumps typical for gravel (Jermanca) that form due to driving uphill. But on the side of the road there is a lot of excess material that should be pushed back onto the road. Probably the result of quads rampaging.
We still reached the turn-off to Mali Alan safely and quite comfortably. There turn right (a few more km of wide gravel, arranged with numerous passing places) to the large parking lot. There were already quite a few cars and even more bikes.
The path starts in the shade of the forest. When we come out of the forest a spring of ice-cold water awaits us. A bit higher are Jurjevića stani. There some hikers enjoy the sun and benches. The path continues through flowering meadows amid gusts of bora. Unfortunately, the top of Sv. Brdo is covered by mists. Despite strong bora, fog higher up, there are a lot of visitors. When we reach the ridge the bora shows its power. It brings mists from Ličko polje that cover the top. We don't stay long on the top. We retreat to the sun and shelter of Jurjevića stanov. Here we take a short break and back to the starting point. A long road awaits us.
We return to Maistorska road and descend past Tulove grede to Zadar hinterland and further to Pag island.

29.05.2023 Sv.Brdo(1751m)
Went from Mala Paklenica -Ivine vodice-Vlaški grad-Sveto brdo. Then Dušice and to Modrič. Long(almost 30 km)demanding tour, weather(view) ok...Tour for 2 days(I walked good 7 hours alone)Biggest problem is water... nasmeh
