Hoher Zittelhaus Sonnblick 3106m

Last March weekend my colleague and I headed to our northern neighbors. The goal is the 3106m high Hoher Sonnblick.
The path itself and access to the starting point went without issues. The ascent to the mountain went completely normally too. Let me mention that without snowshoes you couldn't reach the summit as it sank too much... well, with snowshoes no problems.
Don't forget the road in the last section is a toll road, namely 9 eur. We paid the toll on the way back.

Super tour, bravo, congrats. Interested in conditions for normal approach to Sonnblick from one side or the other.

You lace up your boots, pack your backpack, take ice axe and crampons from winter gear, walk, enjoy the nice surroundings, stop at Zirmsee lake. From Fleisstal direction it's like that.
From the north, from Rauris place it's similar, as the same day a larger group of Slovenes arrived at the hut.
From both directions at the end you walk on the glacier. Most visitors come from Rauris direction.

Path to Sonnblick from Rauris valley direction, yesterday 4.8.2018: to Rojacher hut at 2718m you cross a couple snow patches, further the path along the ridge is dry. One snow patch is in shorter section 3m somewhat steeper, rest non-problematic even for flatlanders. All huts open. Warning also re first fixed cable on ridge on its last pitch, as one can cut oneself well on it (one wire came off the cable on lower part). Summit was quite visited and all walked without winter gear, even those shortening path from summit down via snow. Since temp at 3016m was for short sleeves and windbreakers, snow early afternoon bit below summit already sinking to ankles. Nice group of Primorska folks also ascending the mountain.
