From Vrata via Gemona (Jolanda) to Zadnjica

We also like trips without summits. Initially only the path from Vrata to Zadnjica was planned, then we added a visit to Jolanda or the remains of the Gemona shelter from the interwar period and a refreshment in the pool under Belopotok Waterfall. Of course this could be planned using our own and public transport, but of course it had to be found, which isn't obviousnasmeh.

We parked in Mojstrana and took the first morning transport to Vrata. It was still almost dark when we got out, but the moon was still shining. I was surprised by the crowd of parked cars. Quite a few hikers towards Luknja, cows above the turn-off to Prag. Above Luknja we watched fully equipped mountaineers ascending towards Plemenice, some towards Bovški Gamsovec. No ibex in sight, they're probably higher at this time. Then we headed to the still completely dark side towards Zadnjica, glancing at Korita, Zadnjiški Ozebník, Pihavec. Nice views along the interesting mule track, open world, both of us on this path for the first time.
You can't miss the turn-off to Dolič, it's been a long time since we hiked this path. We were surprised by the beauty of this path, we imagined autumn golden larches there, and the beauty would be perfect then. You don't just get to Jolanda, about an hour passed to get there. But it was worth the detour, as incredibly nice views open up there, and you spot the start of the old Kugyjeva path. Maybe sometime there toonasmehnasmeh.

On the way back we looked for the turn-off to "Komar" but missed the sign, spotted the path a bit higher. But more important than Komar was finding the pool, later catching the bus from Bovec to Kranjska Gora.
We were both extremely enthusiastic about the trip, I'd say worth repeating, but new targets appeared again. Every turn-off on the path, every trail in the grass, every view in another direction already sparks new longings, goals, desires.

Trip analysis, as several times this year, in picerija Kot.
Maybe the elevation gain, around 1050m done

They nicely walked this path. There at Jolanda, Kugy's path starts. It's demanding and has lots of elevation gain, without visiting Triglav. For Komar there's a big inscription on the rock.

Darinka, I meant the start of the path to Komar in Zadnjica, not at the end of the path.

This was also interesting reading for me about Jolanda, caserma Vittoria Emanuela III, Morbegni ...

Darinka was right too, the sign and arrow for Komar direction are in Zadnjica on a rock by the path. As said many times, in the section where the trail runs through open area there are some shortcuts trodden that cut the serpentines of the marked trails. If you take those, you don't see the sign, as it's right in the bend.
