Report from 12-day expedition to Elbrus. All three members ascended to the summit independently. At the end I also took part in the extreme race to the top of Elbrus.

It's been quite a few days since the visit to Elbrus in super company and great conditions, but the memory is still fresh.
A trip I will never forget, company that breathes together for success and great joy of all ten on the summit.
We were divided into two groups, walkers and ski tourers; everyone succeeded without issues.
Good preparation before departure to Russia and acclimatization before the summit, ascent to Elbrus, later three-day happenings in Moscow made our days in Russia unforgettable and memories priceless. nasmeh

After landing in Minerlnye Vody, the agency guide awaits us, offering everything we need

second day we head by gondola under Elbrus

five skiers in the company of five hikers with a local ski guide

we ascend to 4100m... past the barrels where we settle the next day

renovated barrels, nice, warm, clean....we were all very satisfied, above expectations

Also this day we head out on our own to 4100m, there was still plenty of time to sit around

Beautiful morning cheers us and acclimatization to Putukhov's rocks at approx. 4800 m

Afternoon activities, we really weren't bored, plenty of laughter and good spirits

Forced rest, bad weather forecast so we postpone ascent to next day... but the day turned out perfect - the best of all in the mountains' embrace

Night ride with ratrak to the point where two days ago we stopped walking... cca 4800m, most use it and shorten the hike by cca 4h

The morning is beautiful and we look forward to the tour, slightly worried by the worse forecast

With the guide, who joined the walkers the previous day, Aleksander is still with the skiers

Our group of five with the guide ..we walkers...

Here we know we'll make the summit and happily take time for rests and enjoying views, watching the crowd and less so those struggling with altitude, poor preparation

Joy on the summit - Elbrus 5642 m you can't hide

In an instant the weather changes, becomes cold and windy, snowstorm engulfs us

With singing a Slovenian song and our flags we bid farewell to the very popular summit... from all continents and nations

At 13h we all gather before the temporary hut, happy all made the summit, skiers slightly behind, bad summit conditions so didn't wait.. they returned to valley much faster

Another one with Mojca and international crowd in the back

lunch and farewell to our cook and relocation to the valley...

Next day after return from the mountain we enjoy strolling in nature, shopping at the market and socializing in Terskol.

Well-deserved happiness for all participants alike.

It was a great joy for me to be part of the Elbrus 2018 team, thanks to Liza who celebrated her birthday on Europe's highest peak for the invitation and all organization.

Most deserving of all... invitation, organization, company and leadership... without Elizabeth-Liza probably wouldn't have been on Elbrus... THANK YOU LIZA.

We were there last year with agency KavkazSkiTur...very satisfied with food, accommodation, guiding...
Only guide Aleksander was a man of few words, not talkative mežikanje

We too were this year with agency KavkazSkiTur. They are really super...everything went smoothly, no complaints.
