Dolina Belega potoka Martuljek, Skočniki and Stiriofobija

Finally Friday has arrived! Soon the idea pops up to go wandering around Martuljek, more precisely into Dolina Belega potoka, where the Skočniki reign and the always imposing Stiriofobija... The weather did its thing, Stiriofobija and its candle no longer stand, likewise the miserable Skočniki, but it was a nice afternoon wander on the always fascinating pathless terrain. A bit of climbing fun, lots of crazy views, so judge for yourselves... nasmeh

Jus, did you also check the upper Skočniki gorge, which turns at cca 1400m at a right angle to the left, where we reach after the pool the end of the deep narrow rocky gorge? There in the steep high oval gully the Skočniki spring.nasmeh

Yes, viharnik, but it immediately became clear that waterfalls and pools would block our view into that narrow gorge only a meter wide in total nasmeh and we had no gear with us mrk pogled

OK, no problem. I was there many years ago, when summer had severe heat so I went there for cooling off. Nice pool behind the last slope then that dark gorge where you walk in icy water to the vertically falling waterfall which polished the rock into a half-round gully.

otherwise I heartily recommend the tour to lovers of remote corners and claustrophobic gorges, incredible sights and authentic martuljek, even though only half an hour from the roadeeknasmeh Up there you feel completely alone!jezik

it's known they freeze extremely rarely, but when they do it's the nicest environment for ice climbing. But temperatures need to be very low for a long time, and even then caution due to pools. Next year, yeah? nasmeh

I think you're too late for this year... mrk pogled next ice season but for my sake if we bivouac there, it's so nasty to get in! I'm already ordering a shipment of Siberian anticyclone!eek

Oh
Today Klemen took me on a nice walk into the valley of Belega potoka.
On the way up, as we went along the stream bed he showed me
where Katarza forms in winter, in the cirque where Eastern and Western Skočniki start, and a bit more to the right Zgrešeni Skočniki. On the way down we descended on the left side of the stream, along the forest track. There he showed me the overhanging wall over which Stiriofobija stretches in winter.
Yes, it was nice!!!
Best regards Aja

Is it hard to find the start of the path in Martuljek for Dolina Belega potoka and Skočnikizmeden

Due to lack of timemežikanje my colleague and I went back to Martuljek on Saturday, this time to lesser-known and rarely visited ends, although lately heavily besieged and populareek From Lengar we climbed the hunting path on the right side of Beli potok past a small insignificant waterfall that bears the name Katarza in winter, continued on exposed and partly unmarked path to the gully of Stiriofobija, pushed through bushes and steep forest to the middle of the gorge of Eastern Skočniki (impressive view of the 45m final pitch, which must have been horribly hard when first and never again climbed), climbed to the hunting stand, from there pathless to Robičeva planina from where we pushed to PP and from there to saddle Gumno on Rutarski vršič. From Vršič above Beli potok we climbed to the first prominent peak in Vanežov rob, only for lovers of hanging ledges and dwarf pines! Descended easily, in my opinion one of the nicest hunting trails we have, to krnica Za Akom from there to Lipovčeva koča on Jasenje and to well-deserved refreshments...jezik We returned behind Glavo and past Zgrešeni Skočniki back to start. Nicely spent morning in complete solitude and absence of crowds of hikerscool

Today I went with PD Križe with Merkur section to this beautiful virgin end. We started at the railway bridge and from there into the gorge of Belega potoka. The gorge itself is 400m long. The torrent has two sources. Final goal were the waterfalls of eastern Skočniki. The torrent creates wonderful waterfalls called Skočniki. But no marked path leads to this wonderful water world. We go initially quite steeply on unmarked trail steeply uphill. In between we cross the stream twice. We went towards upper waterfalls of western Skočniki. Here we notice three about 10m high waterfalls, which one after another pour over the rock step. Soon we reach the cirque below Kukova špica. Higher we reach the source of the eastern branch of Belega potoka, where are waterfalls of eastern Skočniki. Above the source is a hunting hut. Here we can view the majestic Skočniki waterfall reportedly called Igla, which descends over karst threshold and falls over 140m high waterfall step in two branches. Access to good view requires effort. Here we installed rope fence for safety. Only this double one is visible. If we lean a bit over the edge we see the second. The third we can't see without proper equipment. Then we went above planina Zaprete on nice path in switchbacks to planina Jesenje also called Martuljkova planina to Ingotova koča for warm snack cooked in pots in front of the hut. From source of eastern branch to planina Zaprete we actually had pathless terrain which PD Križe guides of course master. The path itself was not completely dry, but never critical.
