We went organized, so everything was paid, but you get the feeling. Prices are lower than ours, all trips around Zabljak incl. Tara rafting you can do yourself, need car of course. In Zabljak center (more village) info center worth buying map, get all other info too. Paths well marked, easy to find, people friendly. Food and drink excellent, even took good care of vegan. Accommodation can arrange very cheaply, we stayed in Hotel Javor but don't remember full board price. Per head about 700€ with transfers, guiding, entries, full board. But only Durmitor, rafting, Prokletije, Lovcen and one day Budva. If I helped. I loved it, some impressions here:

I'm interested in where I could check the actual current conditions for the Durmitor area, amount of snow etc... Based on the forecasts for Zabljak I'd say it snowed on the peaks. When does the snow usually go away, probably already a bit earlier than in our Alps zmeden

Not exactly current conditions, but still…

For several years we had in mind to go. But somehow we never managed to coordinate time so all four were fine. Or we didn't try hard enough… Or we didn't want it enough to try harder… Anyway, this year us "two old ones" decided endless negotiations are irrevocably over. We set the date and announced we're going, the youngsters as they wish… And right away the first one chimed in: "Oooo, I'd like to go toooo…"… and then the second added: "Me toooo…"... There, couple minutes, and we were all set… mežikanje

First stop was Sarajevo… from there we moved to Durmitor for a couple days and then to Montenegrin coast. Last day of June, weather-wise our nicest day on Durmitor, we climbed Bobotov kuk…

Path from Sedlo is well marked, some snow left but no issues anywhere, summit slightly exposed section is secured. When we started just before 7am, we were alone, during day quite a few visitors gathered… Very nice panoramic tour, if path takes you there…

From hot Sarajevo we moved to cloudy and windy Durmitor that day.... Brrr :-9

This was our home on Durmitor... comfortable, pleasant... in short, super...

We used the nicest day for the ascent to Bobotov kuk... we started at Sedlu...

Kranjske lilies... yellow in these parts...

In a couple of jumps they were on the ridge...

...and before us sprouted the ridge of Zubcev...

Flowers that we haven't seen at home yet...

Oh, who came up with such a steep descent in the middle of the ascent... :-(

Below the saddle everything is full of gentians... purple ones... but surely not Kranj ones???

Further on a small snow patch... just enough to liven up the path... :-)

...and the summit... how small the Zubci suddenly look...

...and on Žabljak... Somewhere there far away we are at home... :-):-):-)

Today to the summit from Sedlo. Descent to Urdeni dol, so we had a long ascent back on the road to Sedlo. zadrega

Also here, like sometimes at home, everything climbs to the top. zavijanje z očmi

Without water, in flip-flops, with kids on back... jezen

Still, nice, very panoramic and well secured summit. mežikanje

True. The last 50 elevation meters below the summit wall are equipped with a cable.

After Prokletije we stopped in Durmitor for three days. First day starting point Todorov do and climbed very panoramic Prutaš 2393m. Path steep, demanding in two places. After return drove to Žabljak where we were accommodated. Second day from Dobri do past Šareni pasovi to steep part to Bobotov kuk. At saddle between Bobotov kuk and Lučin vrh path levels out a bit to saddle between Đevojka and Bobotov kuk - so-called Škrčki pogled, nice view to Škrčka lakes. From there to summit partly secured. Thus to highest Durmitor peak Bobotov kuk 2522m. Views exceptional also from here. On return climbed also Đevojka 2440m and Lučin vrh 2396. Then back to valley for deserved rest. Third day started at Sedlo saddle partly on path to Bobotov kuk towards Bandojerne. At Jezero Surotka left marked path and up unmarked to Trojni prevoj, then grassy slope to Bandijerna 2409m, unique view to Bobotov kuk and other peaks. On return up to Uvito greda 2199m towering over Sedlo. Thus ended our wanderings in Montenegro.
