BIH - Medjugorje - Križevac and Apparition Hill

In these holiday days I took a quick trip to Bosnia. Besides visiting Sarajevo and Mostar I also went to Medjugorje. I climbed Križevac (also described on this portal) and the hill where Mary is supposed to appear.

The path to both hills is rocky (no arranged trail). From pilgrims I wouldn't expect mountaineering boots (and poles are very handy on such a path) but people in flip-flops, sandals, barefoot (the latter probably some penance for sins or a vow),... I don't know...

On the way from Sarajevo to Mostar the beauty of the upper Neretva valley surprised me a lot. Does anyone know how the hiking trails are arranged there and how it is with mines?
