Today from Sovodenj to Bevkov Peak. Up the steep ridge path, back along the longer one that first goes towards Sivka and then branches off towards Sovodenj. Ideal day for this trip: fresh green color of meadows and forests, blooming orchards ... in short, festively dressed nature.

Hi,
tomorrow evening at 19h an organized group of friends will climb to Bevkov vrh from Lazec near Cerkno, if anyone's tempted they can join, shoes and gaiters needed.

Last week the first tour of the year with PD Medvode couldn't be done. A light snow tour was planned, but there was no snow. And since we stick to the plan, it was today (though last week it rained too). No snow from below (start under 300m a.s.l.), but snow above 700. Couldn't find a description yesterday anywhere, not even on hribi.net, which is not unusual for our PD. We started in Straža (place between Idrija and Cerkno, where the turnoff to Cerkno is), steeply up past St. Paul's church and Trebovelj then down to Zaganjalnik spring (water rises and falls, actually such phenomena are named after this spring everywhere), then up Zaklanec under Pluženjska gora and on to Bevkov vrh. Descent from top faster and shorter to Sovodenj, meanwhile half filled backpacks with homemade cheese from the dairy along the path. No views today. Quite solitary (well not today, 31 of us) and not too well marked path, just right for today.
