04.07.1987, the day the Rašičani lost our climbing partner and friend forever on Špik. Goran, even after 28 years we still remember you.

It's nice to connect and remember close deceased. The Holy Mother told us that the border between life and "death" in life is very close. So I think that even with those who have physically left us, we are not far away.

Sometimes you really arrive somewhere just at the right time. That's what we felt yesterday when we stepped onto the threshold of this beautiful cirque Pod Srcem and before the face of the mighty Špik group of mountains. Remains of snow avalanches under the walls, spring awakening of larches that have just greened or are preparing to do so, and the pink color of alder catkins, is something that surely enriches the view of the entire amphitheater of these mountains and creates a mystical atmosphere. Really, the Martuljek mountains are unique!
Of course, the Špik wall attracts most, but we were also pleased to recognize the heart shape in its lower part. Really, until these days I didn't know the origin of the name of this cirque Pod Srcem.
We continued to the bivouac, found the winter room unlocked but completely empty. Then we agreed to just walk the cirque a bit more, so we quickly stepped onto the snow and headed to the head of the cirque or towards the Špik gully. The views from there were also beautiful, the close look into the gully also interesting.
I realized that my last visit to the cirque was 11 years ago.

On the return, we filled water at the spring a bit lower under the cirque, even more water at Mahovje or Izvir Mrzle vode, which pleased us a lot. The spring was dry on the previous two visits, only gurgling was heard but no water was visible. These days it's different, but it's true that the view is a bit less romantic, as there are some fallen trees there, and the rockfall reaches right to the bridge that lost its railings.

On the path we met only tourists (of which two in the cirque itself, two on the way to the cirque) except for two hikers who were hurrying towards the second waterfall.
Yes, so we thought, we caught just the right time for the visit!

Pics 23-24: very interesting entry on the right by the gully and later through greenery all until you descend into the gully. Doesn't look nice at all, but that's only for sodrovce and no one else. Once my buddy and I managed it, just missed the season. Best now, approaching June.
Thanks for the pics
2022 in September we were in the gully
