Osorščica - St. Nicholas and Televrina

From the high Alps in France to well-deserved rest on the warm sea of the Lošinj archipelago, where Osorščica reigns with its highest peak Televrina 588 m above sea level. With my son Jošt we started the trail in the village of Nerezineb and began ascending the slope towards the summit of St. Nicholas 557m above sea level via the new road. The path mostly runs in the shade and on a well-marked trail, which ascends moderately. After one hour of moderate walking (official mark of local PD is 90 minutes) we climbed to the small chapel of St. Nicholas, which unfortunately has been turned into a half-bivouac. There is a logbook in the chapel, and a stamp on the rock outside. From here there is a very nice viewpoint especially on Lošinj and the surrounding islands. The path descends a few dozen meters from the mentioned summit and then we turned left, where in less than half an hour past the TV transmitter we reached the highest peak of Osorščica, Televrina 588 m above sea level. On the summit there is a geodetic point, a box and a stamp. LP Andrej

I was also up there on 4.7. on the same path, only we went further to the mountain hut and then down to Osor. It was a nice tour, you mostly meet only Slovenes!

Excellent tour for evening walk after swimming. Every time I'm on Lošinj I visit this peak.

Yesterday up this path, returned via southern—ridge one, which is a bit longer and you need to be a little more attentive regarding the marks. Otherwise nice and extremely scenic tour. Regards

On the second day of rambling, the goal was St. Mikul on Osorščica. So far we always started in Osor, this time in the village Podgora, 2 hours ascent, 560 elevation meters. The path is well marked, the first hour and a half easy, then some more caution is needed. Weather was super, views too, sea air was welcome....finally, this year really few sea days. Bravo path leader, all correct, safe, by the rules....excellent, thanks...

I absolutely recommend the (ad)venture from Čunski, across the entire ridge to Gaudent, with descent to Osor. (in our case return on foot to Lopar, hitch to Nerezine and local bus to Čunski)

I agree with Dr.ejči, but don't recommend the ridge in summer if you aren't extreme spider lovers.
