From home to Rijeka, from there over the bridge to Krk and on to Krk. Swap the car for the bike and ride back the way I came to the cycle path and along it to the junction for the road to Malinska. A bit further, turn onto a side road towards Barušići. Followed by extremely enjoyable cycling through villages full of life, as they were either building or renovating houses, also diligently working in fields and meadows and vineyards. Since I was cycling through the island's interior, I had to climb a hill for views, a viewpoint, which I did in Gabonjin, from where I went up to the church of St. Peter. Continuation to the main road was almost fairytale-like, along a very narrow road lined with fields, vineyards, countless sheep and of course impenetrable bramble thickets. The descent, which was adventurously fast, brought me to the sea, to Dunat Bay, from where I had only a short way back to Krk. Nice and fine nasmeh

I just have a slight reservation about E-bikes mainly because I think I'd never know my condition there. That is, if I'm progressing, stagnating or losing it. Now I know everything depends on my legs and say daily form, and I can see that with ridden kilometers and steep climbs I'm progressing (easier, faster and longer). If I had an E-bike, I'd help myself with electricity uphill or achieving higher average speed, even trip length. And with progress I wouldn't know if I progressed or electricity did velik nasmeh

Our Sunday trip wasn't cycling, but we hiked around Krk area. Guide Darko from Rijeka traditionally organizes hikes on Krk, this time two variants. One towards Prniba and the other partly on Camino path, to St. Juraj bay. We spent a nice sunny day on the coast, breathed sea air, easy path...anyway enjoyed by the sea. Krk has so many different paths that hikers don't get bored. Also Camino Krk, 150 km long is an interesting idea. After four hours of easy walking we had time for a stroll in Krk town, and to Ježevac camp, which is really nicely arranged. Just right for a day off by the sea. There were about 100 hikers and all looked happy, satisfied...probably it was really so. Darko thanks and happy 20th anniversary of KPD Bazovica Reka, mountaineering section...
