The second day of our trekking in Kvarner was on Krk Island. We ferried to Krk from the island of Cres, of course with a ferry. Our final goal was the Moon Plateau and descent through the gorge to the church of St. Lucija. First, go by road to the church of St. Ivan. Then on a pleasant path to the Moon Plateau. The path is wonderfully routed transversely across the range - really suitable for all hikers. We somehow needed about an hour and a half to get to the Moon Plateau. Before this white plateau, a nice roofed hut and signs await us. The plateau is basically one vast plain of white sand - it's a real sandy plain - very large. We crossed that, then went into the interesting gorge - very steep. The trail is routed in zigzags - very crumbly. Luckily it was dry. In wet it would be very tricky. After an hour and a half we finally made it to the valley to the little church of St. Lucija. It really surprises me, their cemeteries. Full of tombs, lots of marble, flowers. They also have lots of urn walls - we almost don't see that at home. Really, that surprises. Then across the bridge to the mainland. We had our finish in Postojna at the guesthouse in the industrial zone, where we always conclude our tours around there - it's the restaurant Erasmus - I recommend!

We went a little to Krk, first we looked at Omišalj, then on the path from St. Ivan to the Moon Plateau and to Diviška and Hlam.
Then a bit more to Stara Baška, the sunset we watched from Punat. jezik
