Wood crane's-bill (Geranium sylvaticum)
Description:
Wood cranesbill (Geranium sylvaticum) belongs to the cranesbill family, flowers from June to August, grows from 30 to 70 cm tall. It grows between 700 and 2500 m above sea level and is a common cranesbill on our mountain paths in shady forests in the submontane zone and then on mountain meadows, shrubs, stands of tall stems. It likes moist and nutrient-rich soils. Flowers are 1.5 to 2.5 cm wide. Flowers are blue-violet in color. Flowers are divided into 6 lobes. Sepals extended into a long awn.
