Description:
Coltsfoot is a 15 cm tall plant on which a yellow flower grows. The petals (corolla leaves) on coltsfoot look like hairs on the head combed each in its own direction. Coltsfoot can be observed from February to the end of April in areas where the ground surface is changing. These places are torrent deposits, along newly constructed tracks, and also in fields. Coltsfoot is a medicinal plant used to treat cough. Excessive use of this plant, however, causes liver damage.
