Veliki Boč (Zgornji Kovač) - Možičev vrh (via Žavcarjev vrh)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, after the road sign marking the beginning of the settlements Zgornja and Spodnja Selnica, turn right towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh. Continue along the Bistrica valley to the crossroads by the Zgornji Kovač homestead, where the road continues to the left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh, and to the right towards Žavcarjev vrh and the CŠOD Škorpijon home. Park in a suitable place near the crossroads.
b) From the road Dravograd - Maribor, at the end of the settlements Zgornja and Spodnja Selnica turn left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh. Continue along the Bistrica valley to the crossroads by the Zgornji Kovač homestead, where the road continues to the left towards the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh and to the right towards Žavcarjev vrh and the CŠOD Škorpijon. Park in a suitable place near the crossroads.

Path description:
From the starting point, take the road to the right in the direction of the Planinska hut on Žavcarjev vrh. The way forward leads us past individual houses and climbs along the Lipuševa graba stream. At a few small crossroads, continue straight ahead or along the main road, and at a marked crossroads go right in the direction of the footpath. After the crossroads, the asphalt ends and the road turns right and away from the stream. There is a few minutes of cross-country climbing through the woods, and when you emerge from the woods you climb to the Rumf homestead, where you take a sharp left onto the cart track with fine views. Cart track turns slowly to the right in a moderate ascent, and then after a scenic ridge you reach the farmhouse of Ročič, after which you reach an asphalt road, which you follow to the right. The asphalt ends quickly and we follow the road to a marked crossroads where the path from Tojzlov vrh, or the Šiker homestead, joins from the left.
Here, continue slightly right off the road towards Žavcarjev vrh, where you walk for some 10 paces along the wider cart track, then turn left off it onto the marked narrower cart track. Continue through the forest, then return to it and after a short descent also return to the macadam road. Continue through the forest, and from the nearby crossroads go right towards the marked road (the Ridge Farm Trail continues on the left) and then within a minute's further walking you will reach the Hut on Žavcarjev vrh.
From the hut, turn right towards Žavcarjev vrh, where you will follow a well-trodden path through the forest. After a few minutes of ascent, take the slightly left-hand cart track, which quickly leads to the 915 m high summit.
Go around the entry box on the left and then start descending through the forest on an unmarked path. At a lower level, the cart track joins, and we follow it straight on (a slightly shorter trail joins from the right, branching off the marked trail at Fig. 23). A little further on, the path stops descending, and at the crossroads of the tracks we take the one that starts climbing again. During the ascent, keep to the left so that the unmarked summit is reached by following the equally unmarked east ridge.
