Planina pri Sevnici - Koprivnik (Bohor) (via Hunting lodge Bohor and Veliki Javornik)

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Sevnica (to get here from Radeče, Mokronogo or Krško), then take the road in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici. When you reach the Petrol station located near Planina pri Sevnici, turn right in the direction of Montpreis and park in the large asphalt parking lot next to the cemetery just after the intersection.
b) Drive to Šentjur (to get here from Celje, the Štajerska motorway exit Dramlje or Šmarij pri Jelšah), then follow the signs for Kozje and Mountain pasture near Sevnica. At the end of Šentjur go right towards Planina pri Sevnici (slightly left Kozje and Podsreda). Continue mostly uphill, then when the road levels out and you see a Petrol station on the right hand side, located in the immediate vicinity of Planina pri Sevnici, go left towards Montpreis and then just after the crossroads park in the cemetery parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, return to the main road and head towards Sevnica from the nearby crossroads. For about 20 minutes, we descend along the edge of the main road, which offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills, and then we reach the village of Stara Žaga, where signs direct us to the left onto a side road. The way forward climbs past a few houses and arrives at a marked crossroads where the marked path splits.
Continue right towards Skalica on the path over Možnica (straight ahead Koča na Bohorju, Koprivnik, Veliki Javornik. . . ), where the path continues along cart track, which crosses a forest road a little higher up. Continue climbing moderately through the forest, following the signs at a few crossroads. Higher up, you reach the northern slopes of the Možnice Peak, over which you ascend cross-country to the right. When you reach the macadam road, follow it to the right, and soon turn left onto the footpath, which quickly returns to the road, which turns increasingly to the left, gradually leading to the south-western slopes of the summit. After a few minutes of easy descent on the macadam road, we arrive at the pass between the top of Možnice and Mali Javornik, where Hunting lodge Bohor is standing a few 10 m to the left of the path.
Continue slightly right in the direction of Skalica and continue along the road for a few minutes, then the mountain direction signs point slightly left from the road to the ascending cart track, after which we continue our journey. After a few minutes of moderate ascent along cart track, you reach a small pass where there is a marked crossroads.
From the crossroads go left in the direction of Lisce and Bohor (right Skalica 10 to 15 minutes) and after a good 5 minutes walk along cart track you will reach the next marked crossroads.
Again, go left (straight Lisca and Zaloška gora) in the direction of Veliki Javornik and you will soon reach a cross with signs for Bohor. Continue on the marked trail, carefully following the markings at the more frequent crossroads. Further on, cart track widens into a macadam road, which leads to a crossroads on the pass between Maly and Veliki Javornik.
Go right here and then immediately left and follow the road downhill at a leisurely pace. When the road turns right, leave it and continue straight on cart track in the direction of Javornik (to the right the partisan hospital and Koča na Bohorju - the path over Travni laz).
On cart track, mostly cross-climb through the forest, but a few minutes further on the path splits.
Continue left steeply up towards Veliki Javornik (straight ahead Koča na Bohorju - the path bypassing Veliki Javornik). After a few minutes of quite steep ascent, when you leave the forest, go right and follow the gently sloping path along the top grassy slope to quickly reach the highest peak of Bohor - the 1023 m high Veliki Javornik.
From Veliki Javornik, continue straight in the direction of Koprivnik and Koča na Bohorju and start descending through the forest. Lower down, a path joins us from the right, which bypasses the summit of Veliki Javornik and is slightly shorter, while we continue in the direction of Koča na Bohorju and a few minutes further on reach the forest road turnoff. The road leads us in a few minutes to the pass between Veliki Javornik and Koprivnik, where we reach a wider macadam road, where a shorter trail from Planina pri Sevnici or Stara Žaga joins us from the left.
Here go right towards Koča na Bohorju and Koprivnik, and after a few steps go left off the road towards Koprivnik. From the point where you leave the road, you start climbing through the forest and in a few minutes you reach the top of Koprivnik.
