Oplotnica - Brinjeva gora (above Zreče) (on forest path)

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the motorway at exit Slovenske Konjice and turn right at the roundabout, leaving at the first exit, direction Slovenska Bistrica. Go through Tepanje, then turn left at the crossroads in the village of Novo Tepanje, direction Oplotnica - Osankarica. Follow the road until you reach a crossroads just before Oplotnica, turn left and drive through the town. At the main crossroads in the town, go straight ahead, direction Kebelj - Osankarica. Almost immediately after the crossroads, you will see a small park on the left with a partisan memorial and mountain signs. Park on the roadside.
b) Leave the motorway at the exit Slovenska Bistrica-Jug and follow the signs in the route Slovenske Konjice - Celje. After leaving Slovenska Bistrica, turn right at the major crossroads in the route Oplotnica - Osankarica. Keep on the main road until you reach Oplotnica. At the main crossroads in the town, go straight ahead, direction Kebelj - Osankarica. Almost immediately after the crossroads, you will see a small park on the left with a partisan memorial and mountain signs. Park on the roadside.

Path description:
Go through the park and over the wooden bridges, and turn left at the road, then soon right onto the Goriško road, which begins to climb a little further. Follow the road all the way. Soon you reach the top of the hill, where you go straight ahead, direction Kovaški Vrh. Go downhill and continue left past the wood processing company along the road, which soon enters the forest. In the forest, at a crossroads, continue straight on (Kovaški Vrh on the right). Follow the local road, and soon a mountain signpost directs you left onto a smaller road, which turns into a macadam road at the chapel. From there, follow the macadam road to the forest. Do not turn left onto the marked trail, but continue along the dirt road and, just at the end of the forest, turn left onto a smaller path that is cut through the thicket. If you hit it, after a few moments you will reach a small bridge over a stream, which you cross and soon turn right onto the forest logging trail. Follow the signs and continue on logging trail higher into the forest, soon turning right onto a smaller path that leads through a thicket. There are some missing markings, so take care. Soon you are back in the thinner forest, where frequent markings lead you along a beautiful and wide path. On the way we cross another logging trail, and after a while we come out of the woods and climb along the edge of the meadow to an asphalt road, which we cross and continue into the woods, where we immediately turn left onto a wide path. Climb the staircase and you will soon reach a crossroads where signs point you left. We continue along the increasingly steep and rocky path, and soon arrive at a crossroads where a sign on the left points us to Boštjan's path (a very difficult climbing route, marked with large red dots). We stick to the marked path and turn right along the increasingly steep path, which runs along the ridge of Brinjeva gora. Soon we emerge from the forest just behind the Church of Mother Božje on Brinjeva Gora.
Continue past the church and into the forest. The markings lead us exactly to the lookout point at the top of Brinjeva gora.
