Minorite monastery Olimje - Rudnica (above Podčetrtek) (Direct path Olimje - Tower of health and joy)

Access to the starting point:
When you come to Podčetrtek from any direction on the main road, at the first roundabout turn north-west (direction "centre"). After a few metres, there is a second roundabout (next to the Podčetrsko TIC), where you turn left (direction Olimje). Continue along the road for approximately 3 km until you reach the monastery in Olimje. In the absence of proper traffic signs, many people mistakenly think that the white line on the right side of the road is a parking lot, but in fact it marks the extension of the combined cycling and walking route from Podčetrtek. So drive a few metres further and just behind the monastery you will find a parking lot where you can park.

Path description:
From the Minorite monastery in Olimje, follow the path through the monastery's herb garden. At the end of the path, turn left at the chapel and then right immediately after the Chocolate Factory Olimje. The asphalted road starts to climb, turn left at the sandpit according to the signs. Continue along the winding asphalt road, which climbs quite steeply all the way, for about 1 km to a fork near another sand dugout, where you turn right according to the signs. When the asphalted part of the road ends, continue on the macadam. After a while, the path from Slak, or from in front of the local church of the Virgin Mary on the Sand, joins from the right. Following the signs, continue straight ahead on the now quite sloping macadam road until you reach a crossroads where you join the trail from the TIC Podčetrtek. Follow the signs and turn left. The gravel road ascends gently and from here on is marked with the standard Knafelč red and white markings. The trail leads to the Ogrizek Pony Ranch parking lot just below the tower. From here, follow the signs leading directly to the tower along one of the two routes: the "easier" and the steeper "harder", both of which are approximately 5 minutes' walk.
