Iški morost - Iški morost (learning trail Koščeva učna pot)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper, take the exit Brezovica and then continue driving towards Podpeči. At the beginning of Podpeč, before the main roundabout, turn left in the direction of Črna vas and Ljubljana. Continue through part of the village of Jezero and you will soon reach the settlement of Lipe. At the sign for the end of the village, turn right onto a narrow asphalt road that continues along the River Ischka, which we follow for about 1. 5 km, then turn left at an information sign and cross a bridge to the other side of the Ischka, where we park.
b) From Ljubljana or the southern Ljubljana bypass (exit Industrial zone Rudnik), take the Ižansko road, which you follow to a semaphoreised junction where the road to Črna vas and Podpeč branches off. Continue through Črna vas, where the road leads you past the famous Plečnik Church. At the bridge over the river Ischka, Črna vas ends and the village of Lipe begins. Just after the bridge, turn left onto a narrow asphalt road that continues along the River Ischka, which we follow for about 1. 5 km, then turn left at an information sign and cross the bridge to the other side of the Ischka, where we park.
c) First we drive to Podpeč, then we continue driving to Ig. When Tomišelj ends, pay attention, because just before the bridge over the river Ischka, turn left on the road that continues along the left bank of the Ischka. After a little less than 1. 5 km of driving along the Iska River, you will come to an information board, where you turn right and cross the bridge to the other side of the river, where you park.
d) Take the Ig, and then continue driving towards Podpeč. After the village of Brest, pay attention, because after the bridge over the river Ischka, turn right onto the macadam road, which continues along the left bank of the Ischka. After a little less than 1. 5 km of driving along the Iska River, you will reach an information board, where you turn right and cross the bridge to the other side of the river, where you park.

Path description:
At the starting point, you will see signs for the Košče Educational Trail, which will direct you to the trail that continues along the right bank of the River Ischka. The path, which has a few signs for the nature trail, quickly leads to a small crossroads, from which you continue along a paved path to the nearby bird observatory.
From the birdwatching site, return to the crossroads, then turn right and continue along the Košče Nature Trail. The trail continues along the floodplain of the Ljubljana Marshes, turning increasingly to the right and then leading to a macadam road, which you follow to the right and immediately leave, as a parallel footpath continues to the right of the road. A little further on, we return to the road, and when the road turns left, we continue to the right on the footpath, which then crosses some small streams. The path continues past a hunting observation post, and a little further on we reach another dirt road, which we follow to the right, and walk along it to the place where we started.
