Ravenska Kočna - Jezerska Kočna (umik Žrela and on Frischaufova pot)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Kranj - East and follow the road towards Jezersko. At Zgornje Jezersko, just past the petrol station, you will see a road that branches off the main road to the right (towards Planšarsko jezero). The road then takes you past the lake and climbs steeply behind it for a short distance. Higher up, the road flattens out and loses its asphalt surface at the beginning of a large meadow. The dirt road is then followed to a marked large parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the macadam road following the signs "Češka koča, Ledine" and after about 15 minutes' walk you will reach the cargo cableway.
From the cable car, follow the signs Kranjska koča na Ledinah (through the hatch, Slovenska pot) and Češka koča (retreat of the hatch). At first you walk through the forest for a short time, and then the path leads you to a grassy area partly covered with dwarf pines. Here the path turns slightly to the left and then ascends crosswise along the sparse dwarf pines, and later along scree. This path leads to a crossroads. Turn right to where the inscription 'Češka koča' on the rock directs you. To the left, the path leads to the Cottage on the Lediny (Slovenian Way, Through the Throat).
The path begins to climb crosswise in the direction of Češka koča (south-west). Later, the path turns slightly to the left and, following a slope partly covered with dwarf pines, leads to a crossroads under steep cliffs. Continue right towards the Czech Cottage, and to the left the path leads through a gully to Ledine. The path gradually becomes slightly more difficult and most of the time crosses a slightly exposed slope to the west with the help of a cable car. There is a short exposed traverse under rock overhangs, and then the path becomes easier and soon leads to the Češka hut with a rare dwarf pines.
From the hut, continue right along the path in the direction of Koča, Grintovec and Vratca (to the left Kranjska hut via Žrelo). After a short climb, you will reach flat ground marked H (intended for helicopter landing). The path continues along the initially folded scree, which is partly covered with dwarf pines. In the lower part of the scree, the path to Vratca branches off to the right, and we continue straight on in the direction of Kočna and Grintovec. After about half an hour's walk from the hut, we reach the next crossroads. Continue along the left path towards Grintovec (right Kočna - Kremžarjeva cesta) on the path that quickly leads us to the start of the wall. Here you put on your helmet and start the climbing part of the route. The climbing is not difficult at first, but the ascent is dangerous because of the rubble on the path (risk of slipping). The wall we climb then becomes steeper and fixed safety gear are more and more frequent. Climbing on natural passages through grooves, gullies and ledges follows. Throughout the climb, there are beautiful views of Jezersko and the surrounding peaks. After nearly two hours of "climbing", we leave the wall at Mlinarsko sedlo, where we can see southwards. Here we are at a crossroads, where we turn right (Dolgi hrbet and Skuta to the left, straight down to the bivouac under Grintovec) and continue walking along and along the initially unexposed ridge. The path then passes to the axial side of the ridge, where you reach the next crossroads. Continue right in the direction of Zdolška škrbina and Kočna (left Grintovec) along the path that runs along the north side of Grintovec. After a short crossing, the trail starts to descend towards Zdolška Stub. In the more difficult places, fixed safety gear is helpful. The path then leads to Zdolška škrbina, where the descent ends. Continue straight towards the top of Jezerska Kočna (to the right Češka koča, where you can descend, to the left Kokrsko sedlo) on a path that quickly leads to one of the most interesting passes in the Slovenian mountains. The path leads us Ravenska Kočna - Češka koča 1:35, Češka koča - Milnarsko sedlo 2:45, Mlinarsko sedlo - Vrh 2:15.
