Dražgoše (Jelenšče) - Partisan cottage on Vodiška planina

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Železniki, then continue to Dražgoše. Follow the main road through Dražgoše to the part of the village called Na Pečeh, where you turn slightly left onto a side road in the direction of Bičkova skala, Dražgoška gora and the hamlet of Jelenšče. Above the hamlet of Jelenšče, continue along the forest road, but only as far as the first crossroads, where you can park at a suitable place by the mountain signs.
b) Drive to Kranj, then follow the signs for Besnica (the turnoff from the old road Ljubljana - Kranj is before the bridge over the Sava River, or after the bridge if you are coming from the direction of Kranj). Continue through Spodnja, Zgornja Besnica and Njivica. A little further on, you arrive in Nemilje, and after this settlement the road starts to climb steeply. When you reach Podblica, follow the main road, and above Podblica you will reach the main road Kropa - Dražgoše, which you follow to the left (if the bend is too sharp, there is a turning point a few 10 metres to the right). Continue past the Church of St. Jederti, and then you will reach Dražgoše, where you will first reach a crossroads where the road to Sv. Križ turns off to the left. Here you continue along the main road and then arrive in the centre of Dražgoše, where, at the area called Na Pečeh, you take a sharp right onto a side road in the direction of Bičkova skala, Dražgoška gora and the hamlet of Jelenšče (the signs are from the opposite direction, so you can quickly miss them). Above the hamlet of Jelenšče, continue along the forest road, but only to the first crossroads, where you can park at the appropriate place next to the mountain signs.
c) Drive to Kropa, then continue towards Dražgoše and Železniki. When you arrive in Dražgoše, in the centre of Dražgoše, in the area called Na Pečeh, take a sharp right onto a side road in the direction of Bičkova skala, Dražgoška gora and the hamlet of Jelenšče (the signs are from the opposite direction, so you can quickly miss them). Above the hamlet of Jelenšče, continue along the forest road, but only to the first crossroads, where you can park at the appropriate place next to the mountain signs.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue left in the direction of mountain pasture Kališe, Vodice mountain pasture and Dražgoška gora (Bičkova skala on the right), where the path leads along cart track, which ascends transversely to the left. The route mostly passes through the forest, but occasionally we get some views of Ratitovec, Blegoš and the valley, where we can see the Rudno ski resort. When the slope becomes slightly flatter, we reach a crossroads, where we join another path marked with Knafelč's markings from the left and starting at Dražgoše in the Na Pečeh area.
Here continue right in the direction of mountain pasture Kališe and Vodice (straight ahead Dražgoška gora for 5 minutes), following the path which climbs a little more, a little further on reaches the edge of the plateau Jelovica, where it lays down and a little further on joins cart track (here it joins the path leading past the viewpoint Dražgoška gora), which is followed slightly to the right. Cart track soon leads to a forest road where there is a marked crossroads.
The left-hand road continues towards Partizanski vrh, slightly downhill to the left leads to the abandoned mountain pasture Kališe, and we continue to the right, following the road in the direction of Vodiška mountain pasture. On the other side of mountain pasture Kališe, we soon leave the road and continue slightly left on the path in the direction of Vodice. From here on, follow the forest tracks, following the signs at the crossroads. A little further on, you will come back to the road, which you will follow to the left, and soon turn right, again in the direction of Vodice. Continue at the crossroads, still following the signs, and the path will lead you to Rženova bajte.
Go around the hut on the right-hand side, and the markings for Vodiška mountain pasture will lead you into a dense forest. Continue following the signs for Vodice or Vodiško mountain pasture and then arrive at a crossroads where the marked path to Ratitovec branches off to the left.
Continue to the right in the direction already known to us, and then the first path with Jamnik joins from the right, and the second one joins lower down by the NOB memorial.
Continue descending, this time on a path that descends quite steeply, and then stops when you reach the edge of Vodiška mountain pasture, from where you are only a two-minute walk away from the Partisan's Home. Jelenšče - Kališe 45 minutes, Kališe - Vodiška mountain pasture 1:30.
