Kropa (Srednji Konec) - Partisan cottage on Vodiška planina

Access to the starting point:
a) From Ljubljana, take the Gorenjska motorway to Jesenice, and follow it to the Ljubelj (Podnart) exit. Continue on the expressway towards Ljubelj, and we turn right at the first exit, where we quickly reach a roundabout, from which we continue in the direction of Podnart and Kropa. The road then takes us through an underpass under the motorway and leads us a little further on to a junction where we join the road from Nakleg. Here we turn right and continue along the road, which gradually starts to descend. In the middle of the descent we come to a crossroads where we turn sharp left (towards Kropa) and then immediately after the bridge over the Sava River we turn left again (right Podnart). Continue along the Lipnica river and follow the road to the crossroads where the road to Kamna Gorica branches off to the right. Here, turn left towards Kropa and follow the road to the company (Novi Plamen), where you turn right. The road then passes by the factory and crosses the bridge after it, where you come to a crossroads. Turn sharp left and follow the road to the parking lot of the church in Kropa.
b) From the Gorenjska direction, leave the motorway towards Ljubljana at the Brezje exit and follow the signs towards Kropa. When you get to Kropa, follow the road to the company (Novi Plamen), where you turn right. The road then goes alongside the factory and crosses the bridge after it, where you come to a crossroads. Here, take a sharp left and follow the road to the parking area of the church in Kropa.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the path towards Vodiška mountain pasture. The path soon enters the forest, where it ascends crosswise on cart track, which is often quite muddy. After a good 10 minutes of walking, cart track makes a sharp left turn and then starts to climb steeply. Cart track then gradually turns into a track that gets steeper by the metre. The already very steep path then climbs even steeper up the steep slope, which is a slip hazard in wet conditions. The steepness then eases and the path leads to a beautiful viewpoint just 20m from the path. Just a little further on, the path from Kamna Gorica (Miklavževec) joins us from the right. The path then gradually climbs again a little more and then quickly leads us to the beginning of the Vodiška mountain pasture. Then it is just a steep climb up the mountain pasture to the Partisan Home.
