Access to the starting point:
First we drive to Škofja Loka, then continue driving towards Železniki. In Železniki we reach a crossroads where the road to Kropa branches off to the right. We continue straight ahead and follow the main road for only about 100 m, and then the signs for Prtovč direct us to the right onto an ascending road, which we follow to a large parking lot near the church in the village.
Path description:
From the parking lot, walk past the church and the NOB monument to the beginning of the village, where you will come to a well-marked crossroads. Continue left towards Ratitovec via Po(v)den (slightly right Ratitovec via Razor) along the road, which first climbs past houses then turns left and descends slightly. The road then becomes a wide cart track road which begins to climb moderately through the forest.
After about half an hour's walk, you reach the saddle Po(v)den, where there is also a well-marked crossroads. At the saddle, continue right in the direction of Ratitovec, following the initially winding path, which climbs through lane raspberry groves and then passes into the forest, where it begins to climb more steeply. The path is higher and leads to a less good forest road, which is followed for only a few 10 m, and then signs direct us to the right on an increasingly steep footpath. The path soon leaves the forest and leads to steep grassy slopes (high risk of slipping and avalanche in the snow), which we climb to the right. Higher up, the path leads past rock columns to the main ridge, where it turns sharply to the left and lays completely flat. An easy and pleasant path follows, and in 10 minutes of further walking, along an increasingly scenic slope, we climb up to the Krek hut on Ratitovec.
From the hut, continue straight ahead along a slightly steeper path in the direction of Gladki vrh. Follow this increasingly scenic path all the way to Gladki vrh, which is reached after 5 minutes of further walking.

Pozdravljeni,
Danes, 26.12. smo na poti iz Ratitovca do Portovč, sočno pot, pot Povden, izgubili črn fotoapart v črni torbici.
Prosim najditelja naj pokliče na tel 041/873 341.Hvala.
Senčna pot, zgornji del je ledena, so obvezne dereze.

Prosim za informacijo, ali se da z avtom do sedla Povden in tam parkirati? Dobrih 650 višincev s Prtovča bi bilo za našo tamalo še mal prevelik zalogaj.

Načeloma se da, če imaš ornk terenca.. oziroma parkiraš, do kjer pač gre.. (iz smeri Torke).Lahko pa tudi mimo lovske koče dalje.. spet do kjer ti ni avta škoda.. vse te ceste so gozdne tako da je stanje odvisno od vremena...in delovnih gozdarjev

Danes 3.1. 2020 sem se povzpel na Ratitovec čez Povden in se spustil čez Razor. Pot čez Povden je skoraj popolnoma kopna, spust čez Razor pa je potekal po zamrznjeni poti do višine 1200m.
