Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lesce and follow the road in the direction of Bled, where you will be directed to the right at a semaphore crossroads marked for Pokljuka. Follow this road, which takes you through a few villages in the lower part and then starts to climb steeply, in the direction of the Sport Hotel on Pokljuka. At the crossroads near the hotel, turn slightly left and continue towards mountain pasture Goreljek and the Jelka ski lift, which is located next to the guest house of the same name. Park in the parking lot next to the information boards (the parking lot on the right side of the road is for visitors to the ski resort).
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road which descends gently towards the lower part of mountain pasture Goreljek. After about 15 minutes' walk, you will come to a marked crossroads, where you continue to the right in the direction of mountain pasture Zajamniki. The ascent continues along the forest road, which quickly turns into a forest and then climbs only considerably. After a while the road passes mountain pasture Jelje on the right and a little further on you reach a place where the path to Javorov vrh branches off to the right. Continue along the road, which continues with a few short ascents and descents, and then leads northwards from the nearby mountain pasture Konjska dolina.
On the other side of mountain pasture the road turns left and then leads southwards. A few minutes further on, the road turns westwards and leads to the Na Pečeh stately home. Walk along a small valley for a short distance and then arrive on the slopes of Rušovski vrh (1460 m).
Here you should pay attention, because soon a path (kolovoz) will branch off to the left, which will take you down to mountain pasture Zajamniki. Somewhere in the middle of mountain pasture is a cheese shop where you can buy some dairy products during the grazing season.
