Description of mountain: Lopučnica is a pasture, located beneath the plateau of Zgornja Komna and above Lopučniška valley near the Triglavska lakes. It is one of the coldest pastures in Slovenia as the temperature in winter nights usually falls below -3 degrees Celsius. That happens because of the high mountains around the pasture. The cold air descends from them and builds up in the valley, since it is the lowest point in the area. You might not notice the difference at all on windy days. It is also interesting that only grass grows on the pasture but when we ascend, we also come across pine dwarf and trees. There is also a nice view of the nearby summits, but they are just seldom visited.
