Access to the starting point:
Exit the Styria motorway at the exit for Slovenske Konjice, then follow the signs for Zreče. When you arrive in Zreče, park in the parking lot at Terme Zreče.
Path description:
From the parking lot continue along the road, which continues northwards, and soon you will reach a marked crossroads, where the marked path to Gorenje and Rogla branches off to the right, and we continue along the road or pavement. The road gradually turns north-westwards in a slight ascent, and after about 15 minutes we turn left at the chapel onto a side road, where after a few steps we see the first signs for Golek.
At the markers go right, passing a few houses, and at the next chapel the path splits.
Continue right in the route Goleka across Bork (straight ahead, tourist farm Ančka in Golek) and start climbing up the narrower road. Go left after the waterworks, then right into the forest, where you continue on the marked mountain path. Climb through the forest for a few minutes, then reach a macadam road, which you follow upwards to the right, and after a few steps go right onto an undistinguished ridge, which you then climb more steeply. When you leave the forest, go left and climb along the Bork farm to the macadam road. Follow the road a few steps to a small preval, which opens up a beautiful view, and at a nearby crossroads go left. The road turns into cart track, which turns into a forest. Follow the signs through the forest and quickly arrive at a marked crossroads, where you continue slightly left (slightly right Ljubnica).
The way forward leads us along the cart track, which climbs crosswise, and a little further on our route crosses the steep path to Golek.
Continue straight ahead, and cart track reaches a dirt road a little further on, which you follow to a nearby marked crossroads.
From the crossroads, go right towards the top of Golek (down to the left is the usual route to Zreče) and initially continue climbing through the forest, but when you reach the edge of the hayfield, the path leads you to a shelter with benches and tables, located just below the top. Continue along the edge of the forest, where a steep path joins us from the right and within a minute of further walking we reach the summit of Golek.
