Zgornji Tuhinj - Sveti Vid (above Zgornji Tuhinj) (on cart track)

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Kamnik, then follow the main road through the Tuhinj valley, leading to Vransko. In the village Laze v Tuhinju turn left towards Zgornje Tuhinj. From the point where you leave the main road, it is about a kilometre climb and you will reach a marked parking area under the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where you park.
b) Leave the Štajerska motorway at exit Vransko, then follow the signs for Vransko. There is a gradual ascent to the Kozjak Pass (658 m), from which we start descending. At a lower level, pass the Petrol station, then turn right towards Zgornje Tuhinj, about 1 km further on. You will pass a few houses, and in the centre of the village, near the church, you will start descending and the road will turn sharp left. There is another 10 m descent and you reach a marked parking area where you park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we start climbing up the road along which we parked, and first we pass by the Café pri Mežnarju and the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where the road turns right. The way ahead takes us past a few more houses, and then signs in the shape of a bird with a yellow border direct us left onto a side road.
Continue past the farm pr Šanc and a few more individual houses. Continue ascending the asphalt road, and before the next farmhouse, go left to follow the signs for St. Vid.
The path ahead leads us along the cart track, which climbs past the goat house, and then continues along the edge of the forest, following the Stations of the Cross along the way. When you reach a macadam road a little higher up, go left where the arrow on the tree also directs you (St. Vid on the right by the Stations of the Cross). Continue cross-climbing to the left, where you walk along a less good dirt road, and just beyond the weekend house, which is located right above the path, you arrive at a marked crossroads, from which you continue sharp right towards St. Vid (left down Jacob's Way).
After the crossroads, climb cross-country to the right, and the path takes you along a fairly steep cart track, which joins the dirt road higher up, where it merges with the path by the Stations of the Cross.
Continue left, where the road quickly leads out of the woods, and then you reach the Church of St. Vid, which you can see on the right-hand side.
