Access to the starting point:
From Kamnik or Vransko we drive to the Tuhinj valley. Shortly after the village of Zgornji Tuhinj (and a little before from Vransko), the road to the village of Češnjice turns off at a petrol station to the left (and to the right from Vransko). Continue through the village Češnjice on the road which soon after becomes macadam and above the village leads to a small crossroads where you continue right in the direction of Menina mountain pasture. Follow the road, which climbs almost all the way, to Biba mountain pasture, where you park in the parking lot by the road (the shelter at Biba mountain pasture is located slightly above the road, a 3-minute walk away).
Path description:
From the parking lot under the shelter at Biba mountain pasture continue along the road in the direction of the home at Menina mountain pasture (the signboard is in very poor condition). After a few minutes' walk, you reach a marked crossroads, where you continue along the upper right-hand road in the direction of the Oltarna stove and the home on Menina mountain pasture (there is also a sign next to the signposts saying that you are entering a bear area - an old signpost). The road then passes out of the forest and into the open pastures of Menina mountain pasture. Follow this mostly gently ascending road to a crossroads at Lake Biba (a larger puddle, which you will see on the left below you). At the crossroads, continue right in the direction of Oltarna stove and the top of Šavnica (on the left, the home on Menina mountain pasture). The road then crosses a larger meadow from which we get some views of the peaks above the Savinja valley, then crosses lane of forest and leads us to a small crossroads where we continue along the road on the left (right Oltarna peč). The road then gradually changes to cart track, which crosses the slopes to the east. Further on, cart track turns into a pleasant mountain path which leads past a small hut to an open meadow, in the middle of which stands a monument (and a little to the right, a larger watering place for animals). The path then crosses a grazing fence and climbs through a short lane of wodland. Continue along the right-hand side, passing the summit of Šavnice and descending gently to a small pass between the two peaks. There is a short, slightly steeper climb and the path leads to the top slope of the mountain, which is then followed to the summit with increasingly beautiful views.

Medveda na Menini ni že 10 let!!!Ta opis poti z Bibe je namenjen predvsem turistom. Sicer pa planincem priporočam, da se na Goli vrh povzpnete iz vasi Volog, saj je pot dosti bolj zanimiva od te, saj vidite tisto pravo neokrnjeno naravo Menine! Ob poti je tudi kmetija Dražnik(zelo stara hiša, vredna ogleda),izvir Bočnice ter v sezoni ogromno malin. Za vzpon boste porabili 3 ure. LP

Super izlet. Čudovita je pozimi. Menina je res lep primer ohranjanja neokrnjene narave v nasprotju s sosednjo Veliko planino.
Da pa tudi to ni več čisto res, priča slika vikenda ob poti, ki ga nekdo gradi verjetno kar na črno, sicer dvomim, da bi mu dovolili uporabo "salonitk" za kritino.
Morda pa je še čas, da rešimo Menino.

Pot brez posebnosti. V takšni megli je potrebno le pozorno slediti markacijam. Kar nekaj jih kliče po obnovi.
