Vitlenica - Veliki Vilinac (Vitlenica - Vilinac)

Access to the starting point:
From Jablanica, drive to Risovac. Before the settlement, turn left onto a dirt road leading to the monument to the Croatian defenders. The macadam is freshly laid with new tampon and has no major potholes (August 2021). Approximately 2. 5 km before the monument, there is a footpath to the right at a left-hand bend marked with signs for Vilinac (3h) and Hajdučka vrata (4h). There is space for 3 or 4 cars, otherwise park on the side of the road. There are no crowds, but there are forest workers, so care must be taken to leave enough space for them and not to close off any logging trail.

Path description:
The trail goes through the forest for about half an hour at first, then the vegetation thins out and we walk through some ravines until after about 2:30 we reach a marked crossroads for Vilinac, Hajdučka vrata (1h) and Vilinac hut (5-10 min). Here we take the trail to the right for Vilinac and after a good half an hour we are at the top.
You can extend your hike to Hajdučka vrata and Crvenjak Lake, which are definitely worth a visit.
The trail is well marked throughout with Knafelč and other markings.
